A letter of Introduction from the SLReports.net new CEO Latham Levenque
Hello My Fellow Shareholders. My name is Latham Levenque, and I am assuming the duties of CEO from outgoing Cash Yiyuan, who has done an admirable job.
I am excited about the near and long term prospects for SLR--we now have a dedicated writing staff that will provide volumnuous coverage of the Second Life Stock Markets.
Innovations that we are in the process of introducing are:
1) Sunday Front Page: Each week SLReports.net will provide blog and news coverage of the major topics within the whole of Second Life, including an eye kept on external news such as carried by the Associated Press, News Corp, Reuters, etc.
2) The Luminos Index: Managing Editor Nicolo Luminos has created an index for the three major exchanges that did not have a uniform index tracking system, with monthly rebalancing to account for stocks that were not in trading during the last round of rebalancing.
3) The Luminos Dividend Rating: Managing Editor Nicolo Luminos has devised a system for rating publicly traded stocks based on their 6DYA (6 Month Dividend Yield Average) and Lifetime track record for paying dividends.
4) Comprehensive Stock Analysis: Securities that have reached 6 months in age are eligible to be scrutinized and analyzed, with emphasis put on dividend yield and consistancy, share value compared to Net Asset Value, and the strengths and weaknesses of management and buisness plan.
In the very near future we will be looking to revitalize our advertising and Google Adsense revenue. There are a few tactics that we have devised to reach our monthly revenue goal, which is now set at L$1,000,000 by the end Janurary 2009.
Revenue which we accumulate through the course of each month will be invested in the Metaverse Investment Fund, with full transparency provided for our COO Guardian Market, so that not only is our cash reserve safe and externally overseen, but may become a source of additional revenue.
Our plan will be to distribute all profits over and above operational costs back to shareholders in the form of a monthly dividend payment. Going by the example of our own Luminos
Dividend Rating, it is our goal to achieve a 5-Star Rating (6 consecutive months of dividend payment) by July 2009, and a 6-Star Rating (12+ months of consecutive dividend payment) by February 2010.
It is the goal of myself and our writing staff to become the premier Financial News Source within Second Life, with additional coverage of other topics of interest for our readers. We will cultivate and expand our relationships with all 4 exchanges, as well as begin to broaden our coverage of private firms involved in the equities market. We will pride ourselves by providing timely and unbiased coverage of each publicly traded stock, and turn SLR itself into a market bellweather that leads by example.
I have almost a decade of Real Life management experience, working in various industries, including personal investing and Talent Management. In Real Life Nicolo Luminos is a close personal friend of mine, and it is my confidence in his dedication and ability to see this project from where it is now to where we all want it to be that allows me to rest assured that the future for SLR is bright.
My management style is ideally suited to the rejuvenation of SLR--I like to dedicate tasks to people who I believe in to carry them out. Our writing staff, Nicolo Luminos and Alessandra Narayan, need only to continue doing the good job that they have been doing. The next order of business is to develop a relationship with either a person or organization with whom I have the same confidence that can help SLR reach it's revenue goal via advertising sales. We will be actively searching out this partnership in the near term, with hopes to have it solidified by the end of December 2008 at the very latest, with the ultimate goal of January 2009 to be the first "full-month" of ideal operation.
I thank you for your time, and thank you to everyone who has made my welcome here to SLCAPEX a very warm one.
Latham Levenque
