[20:06] You: =S
[20:06] You: let me tell you
[20:06] You: when your mouse decided to die
[20:06] You: SL is...lets just say...fun
[20:06] Gabrielle Maktoum: hehehe
[20:06] Silverblade Dagger: Hehehe. I can imagine, although I don't have to worry about that. :D
[20:06] Gabrielle Maktoum: Should I leave??
[20:07] You: you can stay if you like Gabby
[20:07] Dezmond Martinek: leave? hell no just keep standing there
[20:07] Gabrielle Maktoum: ok ty
[20:07] Gabrielle Maktoum: lol
[20:07] Gabrielle Maktoum: DIdnt know about this building =S
[20:07] Silverblade Dagger: Eyecandy can be so hard to come by. ;D
[20:08] You: So silver you are in the movie actors guild?
[20:08] Silverblade Dagger: Yep.
[20:08] You: cool
[20:08] You: Gabby grab a seat
[20:08] Silverblade Dagger: So far, I'm an extra and head punching bag in a Bourne Identity trailer remake contest.
[20:08] Gabrielle Maktoum: Ok
[20:09] Dezmond Martinek: doesnt look like a big turn out tonight
[20:09] You: Flix?
[20:09] Silverblade Dagger: Yep.
[20:09] You: I saw that
[20:09] You: he's a friend of mine
[20:09] Silverblade Dagger: Ah!
[20:09] You: hmm
[20:09] You: well seems to be pretty dead with todays' meeting
[20:09] Silverblade Dagger: He's a good guy, and I hope the trailer wins, not just because I'm in it. hehehe
[20:10] Gabrielle Maktoum: I can bring some friends =S
[20:10] Dezmond Martinek: well you could downsize the conference hall here
[20:10] Silverblade Dagger: It's Labor Day weekend, and a 30 minute notice beforehand... getting a crowd might be tough tonight.
[20:10] Dezmond Martinek: and start an escort business
[20:10] Dezmond Martinek: he posted on capex a few days back
[20:10] Dezmond Martinek: so people who have a vested interest should be aware
[20:11] Silverblade Dagger: AH, I must have missed it.
[20:11] You: Well it was posted on the news when the meeting was, and yes you are correct it was bad timing on my part
[20:11] Dezmond Martinek: or good
[20:11] Dezmond Martinek: depending on your overall goals
[20:12] Dezmond Martinek: try that out some time
[20:12] Dezmond Martinek gave you SL_TROUBLE TICKET (Tap me).
[20:12] Dezmond Martinek: its good for a laugh
[20:12] You: I have been very busy in RL I have been planning and also moving into a new apartment
[20:12] You: which is now all finished so
[20:13] You: but actually this month everything has been running smoothly. No real large announcements
[20:13] You: Actually there was one large announcement
[20:13] You: and I wanted all of your thoughts on the project
[20:14] You: I wanted to post a secondary offering
[20:14] You: to buy a second island
[20:14] You: I already have a waiting list for over 1/2 of the next sim
[20:14] You: in fact one person is purchasing half the sim
[20:15] Silverblade Dagger: What kind of plans do you have for that?
[20:15] You: A rural look
[20:15] You: still mixed
[20:15] You: residential and commercial
[20:16] You: although residential will be what we are looking for
[20:16] Dezmond Martinek: how many shares are you talking abou there
[20:16] Dezmond Martinek: Ive spent the last month trying to prop the price up
[20:16] Dezmond Martinek: and now I have almost 20 percent
[20:17] Dezmond Martinek: the price is finally about to stabalize
[20:17] Dezmond Martinek: and a secondary offering has the potential to push it down again
[20:17] You: Yes. That is why I wanted to propose the idea instead of jumping into a secondary
[20:17] Silverblade Dagger: I don't have nearly that much, and have only been a shareholder for the past couple days or so...
[20:17] Dezmond Martinek: also, I would like to point out
[20:17] Dezmond Martinek: if your shares are not over a buck
[20:17] Dezmond Martinek: your secondary offering wont be either
[20:18] Dezmond Martinek: especially since you have announced a delay in dividends
[20:20] You: Yes I did not want to have to delay them, but with the recent stock exchange move I had some financial troubles with the whole allenvest bank. so I had enough money to cover the cost of the island.
[20:20] Dezmond Martinek: I see
[20:21] Dezmond Martinek: cash is still stuck in allenvest?
[20:21] You: Yes and I am slowly getting it out.
[20:21] Dezmond Martinek: Im so glad I got mine out before this happened
[20:21] Dezmond Martinek: there are so many people in a bind as a result of this
[20:22] You: What I thought was happening was the name was changing and under a new CEO
[20:22] You: I guess I read something wrong somewhere
[20:22] You: or was misinformed
[20:22] Dezmond Martinek: well its not your fault really
[20:23] Dezmond Martinek: but it is a problem
[20:23] Dezmond Martinek: how patient is this person
[20:23] Dezmond Martinek: who wants half a sim?
[20:23] Dezmond Martinek: and what is your timeline
[20:23] You: they have been waiting since we bought this sim
[20:24] You: I was looking towards putting out a secondary by next month and then purchasing the second sim the month after
[20:24] Dezmond Martinek: ok how many shares at what price?
[20:24] You: Although I am looking into private funding to keep any or all dillution of shares
[20:25] You: the cost of a sim is 510000L approx.
[20:25] Dezmond Martinek: is that the real cost or just the sim
[20:26] Dezmond Martinek: I understand you have builders and scripters and otehr people at your disposal
[20:26] You: yes
[20:26] Dezmond Martinek: how do you maintain your share owndership
[20:26] Dezmond Martinek: unless you issue more shares than you need to cover the cost
[20:27] Dezmond Martinek: you cant go below 51 percent so..
[20:27] You: Yes exactly why I am looking for the private investors
[20:27] You: and also after the island is established
[20:28] You: I will begin to buyback shares to slowly resolve dillution and be able to raise the dividends
[20:28] Dezmond Martinek: you need your share value at 1.25
[20:29] Dezmond Martinek: before you issue an secondary offering
[20:29] Dezmond Martinek: are you logging this to be posted?
[20:29] You: yes it will be posted
[20:30] Dezmond Martinek: otherwise your secondary offering will be unatractive at $1l
[20:30] You: True
[20:30] Dezmond Martinek: ipo's havnt been doign well these past few weeks
[20:30] Silverblade Dagger: Slow summer.
[20:31] You: hmm
[20:31] You: well maybe private investors would be a smarter idea. What do you think?
[20:31] Silverblade Dagger: Plus, factor in the other fiascos in SL...
[20:31] You: yeh
[20:31] Dezmond Martinek: It is possible that in one months time
[20:31] Dezmond Martinek: that yoru share value is at 1.25
[20:31] Dezmond Martinek: that is really where it should be
[20:32] Dezmond Martinek: you do not have rediculous amounts of shares like some companies
[20:32] You: yes and I don't want there to be
[20:32] Dezmond Martinek: but the problems with allenvest and the lack of a dividend isnt helping
[20:33] Silverblade Dagger: Well, provided that things push forward successfully through September, leaving the mess behind and new people get in, I'm sure that the stock will go up.
[20:33] You: If I would ever ask for the secondary it would be only for what is needed and I would work it back down to only having the 2,000,000 shares
[20:33] Dezmond Martinek: I am confident it will and I wouldnt have a problem with a secondary offering
[20:33] Dezmond Martinek: I feel more confortable with it than private investors, only because
[20:34] Dezmond Martinek: at least we can see where the money is coming from and can share in the profits
[20:34] You: We are also taking down a ZEN building and selling it within a day or two to someone who would like to purchase the land
[20:34] Dezmond Martinek: which is the idea of a publically traded company in my view at least
[20:34] You: yea good point Dezmond
[20:34] Dezmond Martinek: but I believe share values need to go up first
[20:34] You: alright
[20:35] Silverblade Dagger: If you were to go with private investors, how would you go about doing it?
[20:35] You: thats the other question. The thought was only just recently brought up so I was just offering it as an option
[20:36] You: But by what Dezmond stated I think a secondary would be much better
[20:36] Silverblade Dagger: I'm always up for hearing about alternatives, even though I do side with Dezmond's ideas.
[20:36] Dezmond Martinek: well its possible to work something out
[20:36] Dezmond Martinek: depending on how you may go about it
[20:36] Dezmond Martinek: companies do borrow from time to time
[20:37] Dezmond Martinek: but multiple partners can make things a bit tricky
[20:37] Dezmond Martinek: and can erode confidence
[20:37] You: I also just recently entered a 12 hour film contest in RL so if I win the 2500$ from that. you can expect a new sim. But that is just a long shot there =P.
[20:37] Silverblade Dagger: I've always found that the more people involved in something, the more likely someone will do something stupid.
[20:37] Dezmond Martinek: good for you!
[20:37] Silverblade Dagger: 12 hours?
[20:37] You: yes
[20:38] You: 12 hours to make a film
[20:38] Dezmond Martinek: thats true to an extent, but then without a team none of this would really be possible
[20:38] Silverblade Dagger: Ah! I was thinking it was a 12 hour film. hehehe
[20:38] You: from writing the script to printing a final edited copy to tape
[20:38] Dezmond Martinek: do you have a design for this sim already?
[20:38] Dezmond Martinek: if you had the sim right now could you develop it quickly ?
[20:39] You: Well this island below was developed terrain-wise in 1 day
[20:39] You: although it is mostly flat
[20:39] You: but I can and will dedicate 48 hours to working on the sim alone after it is delivered and I can get it set up in under 3 days
[20:40] You: Also
[20:40] Silverblade Dagger: You said you had a waiting list of people wanting a place?
[20:40] You: the group that wants 1/2 the sim would like to develop it themselves
[20:40] Silverblade Dagger: Ah.
[20:40] You: yes
[20:40] Dezmond Martinek: that saves work doesnt it
[20:40] You: I would like to hand out the list...but without a working mouse
[20:40] You: it is tough
[20:41] Dezmond Martinek: haha
[20:41] You: ask me in a day or two and I can give it to you
[20:41] Silverblade Dagger: How much would you expect from the people wanting that space?
[20:41] You: Well
[20:41] Dezmond Martinek: and how long before the cost is recovered
[20:41] You: From what I have found
[20:42] You: We copy common practices of RL rental companies
[20:42] You: To purchase the land
[20:42] You: it is the technically the tier for your first and last monh
[20:43] You: to own the land
[20:43] You: although it slows the recovery cost
[20:43] You: it makes more sense logically
[20:44] You: people are more willing to do that
[20:44] You: than pay 8L/sqm only to pay 1.7L/sqm next month
[20:44] Dezmond Martinek: yeah that sucks, having to do that
[20:45] You: I have seen the practice slowly moving its way into SL
[20:45] You: and we are doing the same
[20:45] Silverblade Dagger: How much space would be left over after that group buys in?
[20:46] You: Well I need to look at the sheet again... It was 1/2 sim, someone who may want 1/4 sim althought that is not guaranteed, and 2 people who want a 1024
[20:47] Silverblade Dagger: In the event someone backs out, what kind of contingency plan do you have?
[20:48] You: Well all of our Associates work very hard to get a commission. In 1 week we turned around 8192 sqm after 3 people moved out at once
[20:48] Dezmond Martinek: I saw a piece of land dissapear here within hours, near the mall
[20:49] You: yes
[20:49] Dezmond Martinek: it seems you have all the tools to develop another sim succussfully
[20:49] You: We are well known for great and fast service
[20:49] Silverblade Dagger: Couldn't set anything on fire before someone tramples in and puts it out, eh? hehehe
[20:50] You: and have a police force that works for tips only and I am usually online
[20:50] Dezmond Martinek: how much zen money is stuck in allenvest?
[20:50] You: 187,000L
[20:50] Silverblade Dagger: Heheh, well, good thing I'm considering moonlighting as a hired gun. hehehe
[20:50] You: thats after I got about 45,000 out before they changed to 1000/day
[20:50] Dezmond Martinek: what is the monthly profit projection for this month?
[20:51] Dezmond Martinek: for september
[20:51] Gabrielle Maktoum: no comments about me?
[20:51] Gabrielle Maktoum: bah
[20:51] Silverblade Dagger: You appeared to be napping, didn't wanna wake ya. heheh
[20:51] Dezmond Martinek: if your responsible for the traffic near the mall, then your twice as beautiful as you look
[20:51] Gabrielle Maktoum: Im trying to understand all that talk
[20:51] Gabrielle Maktoum: lol
[20:51] You: Sorry Gabby. Yes Gabby run the mall more efficiently than any mall manager I have yet to see
[20:52] Gabrielle Maktoum: Thanks Dezmond :))
[20:52] You: runs*
[20:52] Gabrielle Maktoum: yes Im kinda responsible for that
[20:52] Dezmond Martinek: good work Gabrielle
[20:52] Silverblade Dagger: Heheheh, she could run my mall anyday... if I had one. ;D
[20:52] Gabrielle Maktoum: I wouldnt do that without Zaldar
[20:52] Gabrielle Maktoum: he rocks
[20:52] Dezmond Martinek: I had one and I learned that I need a Gabrielle to run a mall
[20:53] Silverblade Dagger: hehehe
[20:53] Gabrielle Maktoum: ty Dezmond :)
[20:53] You: Also I was just informed by Gabby that a national TV channel in Mexico did a story on the Club Necaxa soccer field
[20:54] Gabrielle Maktoum: Im not just by the mall, I have my nose all over the sim =S
[20:54] Dezmond Martinek: I'm trying to assertain if you can finance this without an offering using money earmarked for dividends and next months profits
[20:54] Silverblade Dagger: Club Necaxa is a ZEN property? Well, that might be something newsworthy for SLReports as well as the CAPEX news.
[20:55] You: true
[20:55] You: hmm
[20:55] You: well it definately is not 510000L
[20:55] Dezmond Martinek: I think this is doable Zaldar, with a bit of work
[20:55] Silverblade Dagger: Work, patience, and Gabrielle. hehehe
[20:55] Dezmond Martinek: perhaps we should have another meeting in the near future and discuss a strategy
[20:55] You: yes
[20:56] You: And by then I can get exact numbers instead of projections
[20:56] You: because I have been so busy lately in RL that a projection would not be good for me to make
[20:56] Dezmond Martinek: we need something concrete
[20:57] You: I will look through the information this week and get some numbers up in the forums
[20:57] Silverblade Dagger: As for a future meeting, how about same time next week?
[20:57] You: does that work for you Dezmond?
[20:58] Dezmond Martinek: Im almost always available
[20:58] Dezmond Martinek: Im a slave to my computer
[20:58] Dezmond Martinek: though a bit earlier would be better
[20:58] Dezmond Martinek: kids start school next week and Im on the east coast
[20:59] Silverblade Dagger: I'm the master of my computer, but not of time. Even though I'm around my computer most of the time, others generally tend to pick inopportune times to consume my time. heheh
[20:59] Dezmond Martinek: heh
[20:59] Dezmond Martinek: the nerve
[20:59] Silverblade Dagger: Anytime after 7pm ET is good for me.
[21:00] You: ok well we will do the same time next week then
[21:00] Silverblade Dagger: Groovy.
[21:00] You: and as always if you have any questions at any time I love signing on to 100 IMs to answer XD
[21:01] You: or answering questions in teh forums although I prefer IMs
[21:01] Silverblade Dagger: Don't we all? heheh
[21:01] Dezmond Martinek: I will be sending you some, though I can hardly be responsible for 100
[21:01] You: ok
[21:01] You: So can we say this is the end of the meeting for today?
[21:02] Silverblade Dagger: If anything, I'll send a notecard, and pray you have a new mouse.
[21:02] Dezmond Martinek: yes, I have nothign else to add at this time
[21:02] Silverblade Dagger: No questions here...
[21:02] You: ok Cool
