Company Reorganization -- Important Notice: Please Read
My Friends,A long talk with SLR Chairman and Wise Metaverse CEO Arbitrage Wise has brought me to this letter today. I am solemn, but excited to announce today a full reorganization of SL Reports management, staffing, and related assets.
I went to Arb with what I felt would be an uncomfortable conversation... the fact that I may need to look at options for leaving Second Life sooner rather than later. My real life has been extraordinarily busy lately and I will no longer be able to commit to the type of schedule that I have since before December of last year... hours on end each day... dealing with the drama and "weirdness" that is Second Life. I had originally proposed to Arb finding a direct replacement for me, but now after our discussions I see that we can still operate and grow SL Reports while allowing me to spend only a moderate amount of time inside Second Life.
Our plan of action: at this time I am seeking a General Manager for SL Reports that can manage a full staff, work within a budget and be trusted with company funds, develop and run down great new content for the site, and handle promotions and marketing.
This is a total reorganization on the backend and we need a strong leader to spearhead it under very minimal supervision of myself, Arbitrage, and possibly a board of directors. The SL Reports in-world cash reserves remain quite high with additional reserves outside of the game as well that can be utilized if needed. Revenue potential is quite high for SL Reports, particularly with Wise Metaverse's Tool Thibaud - a real-life web advertising professional - heading up sales efforts.
There is a lot of potential here, and a ton of room for growth... right now I just need a strong force to help me out.
Interested parties should apply directly to me for this position VIA email (no in-world notecards please) at xavier.mohr@gmail.com. Candidates must have been in Second Life for a minimum of 4 months to qualify (exceptional real world experience will be considered in lieu of minimum time in game). Must have awesome management skills and be skilled with writing. Compensation for this position will include a sign-on bonus of L$50,000 paid after your first two weeks of work and immediate receipt of 400,000 locked SLR shares for your CapEx portfolio - on which you will collect dividends as they are paid. Minimal weekly salary is also a possibility. Cash performance incentives and share bonuses paid as they are earned.
Please include a description of your qualifications in the email, a letter of interest, and a quick bit about where SLR could go under your leadership.
General Manager may even have the option further down the road of assuming full CEO responsibilities in the event I am no longer able to perform them. I need a very trustworthy candidate for this, and so do our shareholders.
These changes will make SLR the market force that it can be, and solidify our path to serious growth in the media market. We have always been a force in Second Life media, now let's become the only force to be reckoned with.
As of right now, just to clarify... I have no intention of leaving Second Life. As I said however, I need a strong candidate for this position to step forward immediately as I intend within the next two weeks to scale back my usage of the Second Life platform to no more than ten to twelve hours per week... perhaps less in the long run. My ideal long-term situation is being able to spend a few hours in-world each week and work from Gmail other times. A strong General Manager will help me realize that goal.
I appreciate you, my friends... you have been with me for so long. SLR was the first IPO on AVIX. I have known many of you for a very long time by SL standards. Rest assured that this move is meant to strengthen overall share value by ensuring SLReports.net is always staffed, under strong motivated leadership... with Arb and I still extremely active in planning for the future of the company. We will not let you down. I think this move is the absolute best I could make at this time for all of our bottom lines.
Thanks for your attention. More announcements to come...
Your Friend,
Tim Locklear
