L&L Corporation Sponsors Track at SLCC 2008

We have just been greenlighted for SLCC 2008 and will start action to set the track in the coming weeks. Below, is the proposal given to the SLCC committee and is a work in progress. We will refine and confirm the track via direct content to those proposed to be on panels and those that wish to be financial contributors. Please be advised that all contributions to the track go to the development of the track for SLCC 2008 and not the company as not to confuse it with an investment. I will send out the perks schedule for participants and contributors of the track once we have finalized that information.

Proposal of an SLCC Panel

1. Track Title: Financial Sector

2. Below, please indicate the individuals filling the following roles:
Track Leader (you): Lindsay Druart
E-Mail: lindsay.druart@gmail.com

Track Assistant(s): Luke Birdbrain
E-Mail: lukebirdbrainceo@gmail.com

Track Assistant(s): Sully Okelly
E-Mail: michaeljsullivan@gmail.com

3. Provide an overview of the track's subject matter, purpose, and your reasoning for being a part of the SLCC '08 program (500 words max please):

This is a booming part of SL that has been in the news for fraud a lot but the good side of this market is almost never discussed. About 6% of residents are heavy into the market and there are a lot of novice people as well. There are thriving investment firms as well as businesses that are publicly traded in order to pass a part of their labor back to SL residents that believe in their business. Education is the key to diminish the sting of fraud while still operating sound businesses. Being one of the first companies to step into the market, I would like to educate people.

4. Please draft a general schedule. Assign a rough title and a few words describing the direction of part of the track. If you can, include potential speakers you would hope to have. You will have either 9:00–12:30 or 1:30-5:00 time slot. Give us an idea of the activities / panels / discussions / breaks / keynotes will you have and when:

We would like to have a morning time frame but we are open to any slots available.

Growing My Business: This discussion is to assist people that are looking to start or grow their business in SL. We will discuss advertising, products, SL economy trends, do's and don't, as well as SL news.
Speakers: Lindsay Druart, Jon Desmoulins, Cadence Juran

Maximizing My Portfolio: During this discussion, we will talk about day trading on the stock exchanges, how to protect yourself from fraud, when to invest, when to liquidate, and watching market trends.
Speakers: Marc Attenborough, iVentures Volitant, Casper Trebeuchet, Shaun Altman

Credit Reporting for the Second Life: This discussion will provide key factors in searching for information regarding the past business dealings of avatars. A list of products and services will be discussed as well as risk factors and red flags.
Speakers: Travis Ristow, Sully Okelly

Stock Exchange Panel: During this panel questions will be asked of the CEOs or Chairmans of the stock exchanges to find out their visions of the market and the future of SL markets
Speakers: Arbitrage Wise, Cocky Dagger, Tobia Forcella, Bogart Beck

5. As part of running a track you are responsible for securing $2,250 USD in total sponsorship to cover the cost of the track. All sponsorship monies must be sent to the TFU, even money that exceed $2,250. The sponsorship covers the use of the venue space, insurance, presenter discount tickets, complimentary tickets, technical support, house sound and mics, projectors, brochure printing, banners and room set up. It does not include outside items such as sound equipment rental, room decoration, door prizes, give-aways, etc. The sponsorships obligation are nor refundable.

List the potential sponsors you feel will be a good fit. There is no limit on number of sponsor per track. If you raise more than your required $2,250, TFU will put that money to use for your track. You may ask TFU to purchase airfare for speakers, comp tickets for additional sponsors, rent specialty equipment, or support of the overall convention.

Proposed Sponsors:
L&L Corporation
SL Capital Exchange
BCX Bank
Apez Corp
International Stock Exchange
Virtual Stock Exchange
iVentures Group
MetaNetwork Media
SL Reports
WJUV Radio

6. Are there any additional resources that you would need from the TFU Board to assist you in the creation of your track? This DOES NOT include acquiring sponsors or speakers.

We do not require any assistance as we currently run a similar program in world. Last year, I spoke with Philip Rosedale about Financial Sector Mentors but the idea got tabled after a few meetings due to some internal issues. We still have Financial Sector Mentors staffed and are moving forth with the program without Linden Labs. Education is the key to make all of this flow much smoother than it has in the past. We look forward to offering something phenomenal at SLCC.

Sincerely,

Lindsay Druart, CEO
