Advertising Prices - Your opinion | |

| Hello Cash I think the problem with the advertsing price is that is counted per expression. As far as i understood it the google advertising is counted and priced by clicks for example. Your is a relativela traditional way to charge for them that compleetly ignores the advantages that the internet can give to you and to your customers. For example its not possible for a customer to see how sucessfull an advertisment is . They pay thesame if it is successfull or not. I think that holds many people back to just check it out if an advertisment at your page would make sense. My suggestion would be to charge a relatively low basic fee but then to charge per klick. I think that this would bring in a lot more customers for advertising because the risk would be relatively low. If the platform isn't good to advertise their buisenes they will get not much klicks. Then they will probably leave again to save the basic fee. But the Advertiments that are interesting for your readers get many klicks. Then it will get more expensive for the customer but if i know that a certein advertisment is sucessfull i have no problem if it is expensive. Manuela |

| Manuela, I like this idea, provided billing on the number of clicks is done frequently (weekly?) and ads with unpaid clicks are promptly removed. Since you seem to have some familiarity in this arena, what would you suggest for the low basic fee and price per click? Anyone else have an idea on this? |

| Hello Guardian . I have to little information about how much traffic Sl Reports has today to make a sugestion on the fees . I had a Advertising there and Cash was so friendly to tell me how many clicks i had on them . I realized that not even 0.5% of the impressions where leading to a klick on my add. May be SLReports was not a good place to advertise my buisenes but its the only number i have so lets calculate with it. Lets say i would take a Skyscraper : 125x600 pixels (All Pages) with 10000 impressions. that would cost L$5000 if 0.5% of the impressions lead to a klick that means 50 klicks and i Payed L$100 per klick. WOW i think that this is by far to much. If i get at good inworld places putting out a Advertising board paying 250 per week, i get may be 20 klicks a week so i am at L$12.5 for each klick. Most of the advertisings i have out have a even better rate. So may be 5 to 10 Linden per klick would be a good idea if there are some build in stops (against bots for example ) By the way i already once sugested this to Cash in a private talk some month ago.But it doesn't seam to be realy the way they want to go at SLReports Manuela |

| I'm just starting to use advertising so I may not be the most informed person on the subject. What Manuela gives as an example sounds outrageous as far as price is concerned. 5000$L for 10000 impressions? I just placed a top page rotating banner (468x60) on a very high traffic site (SLProfile), and they charge weekly or monthly. That was 5000$L for one full month. According to the stats they provide me, it got 10000 impressions on the second day. So about 5000 impressions/day. I don't know how many clicks it got, but the club I advertised, saw newcomers on the 3rd day. So I guess it worked. Maybe it is due to the nature of the ad (a club), but I wouldn't pay 5000$L for 10000 impressions. A click count would be a better deal. |

| Manuela if you vote yes you would be voting for a pay per click advertising option to be added with Standard option. Pay Per Click Option: To post an advert to SLR an advertiser would pay a small fee, maybe 50L$, then pay 15L$ per click. Accounts would need to be kept in credit and when SLR contacts the advertiser to advise balance is low.
