Dividends
When is SLCX going to pay dividends again? It has been a couple months according to the dividend link. As a shareholder & investor, I hope that the dividends aren't being eaten up by the payments for the Allenvest recovery issue. This wouldn't be fair to the shareholders!

Re: Dividends
With large cash expenditures behind us and huge market gains for stocks mostly across the board dividends should become a regular occurance. I believe slcapex is headed on an upward trend and would encourage people to take a second look while the share price is still low. Once the rest of the Allen shares are liquidated and regular dividends become a common occurance the share price should increase substantially. I doubt there will be many opportunities past February to purchase these shares at under .50L. This is my opinion and is not intended as investment advice. I encourage individual investors to do thier own research and draw thier own conclusions.

Re: Dividends
From what I've read on the SLW prospectus, SLCX has been getting about 500,000L a month. Makes for pretty poor dividends, but it means there should actually be some coming.

The statement that 'If we can get it to 750k we can put 375k into SLW after dividends' means they're actually keeping the 100% profit goes to dividends thing... Well. Sort of.

I noticed adsense revenue and the capital exchange (selling/buying lindens - that hidden area you have to dig for, no doubt part of the reason it's doing poorly), and ad-banners don't count as part of SLCX revenue.

Huh.

Re: Dividends
this is what Arb wrote in the weekly update a fortnight ago:

"We have decided to hold off on dividends until possibly next month, so that some of the dividends will go to SLW shareholders as well."

This actually means 2 things:
1. There WILL be a dividend at the end of this month
2. It should base on the earning of TWO months (january and february)

If I calculate a two-month dividend, it doesn't look that bad, at least for a share that's traded below 0.3

So, if anyone can confirm this, ...

Re: Dividends
It will be interesting to see how much dividend will go to SLCX shareholders and how much to the SLW shareholders. As there is no information about how SLCX fits into shareholder structure of the SLW holding (if it does at all) it can mean some big surprises for shareholders of the two companies.

Any hint, dear CEOs?

Re: Dividends
We're not guaranteeing any dividends yet. But if we were to issue it, since SLW now owns 25% of SLCX, it would receive 25% of the dividends, which will then be issued out as SLW dividends. However, SLW may chose not to issue dividends, but use the funds to do a share buyback.

Keep in mind that all of this is just speculation for now....

Re: Dividends
I don't know how financially sound this would be, but doing some share buybacks may help bolster confidence of the shareholders. To me, it seems that dividends would be most beneficial to those who hold a sizable number of shares, whereas those who only hold a few thousand or less won't feel a significant dent in getting their lindens back. It would certainly get the naysayers to close their mouths long enough to come up with another unfounded conspiracy theory.

Since SLW seems more like promissory notes to those who aren't into stock trading, making things closer to even seems to me to be good business sense since it proves that SLW isn't like WTF and etc and will get people to do more business with CapEx/SLW down the road. No sense in prolonging things any more than they can be, right?

I have read somewhere Arb maybe would post the financials this weekend.
Quite excited about how much the divident will be.

Should be approx. 0.01 L. 3 % in dividents is good.
