Re: IPO Still Selling
Scott ..
IMHO the liquidity was drained out of the market. I think to many people lost to many Lindes in the last time to be interested in nother investment. The once who would be willing to invest (like me for example) are not so happy to
see how many company here are treating their questions
so they rather keep their money in their pockets

Scott i think you are suffering
from something that people start to realize.
You will hold the maiority of the shares. That means that you will make all decisions . The shareholders will have no influence.
After the ipo is over a company doesn't suffer from a falling value of the shares. The owner even benefits from it because now he can buy back cheap and the difference is his. One good example is SLCapex itself . The shars are at a vallue of 0.3 or lower, they are not answering important questions and the shareholders can do nothing.
So having such an example people, including me, are naturaly asking themself "how can i be shure that i am not treated like this if i invest in this company" or they simply left the maket, looking in sometimes if they can may be get some of thei money out of it . The willingness to bring in new money is close to zero in the moment

I'll be blunt. I've looked at your offer and don't really see anything "negative" or "unattractive" about it in itself. Two things though in my mind make a "strike against it" due to uncertainty : 1) the large holding of MNM (which I *praise* you for trying to get answers about -- this will benefit not just NIC but also other MNM shareholders, or at least give us some missing info!). And 2) that there is such drama on the exchange it's trading on, currently unrelated to your holdings. Maybe this latter item isn't "fair", but I don't like the way a lot has recently been playing out in my observation here. There may indeed be no "WRONG" done and just an enforcement of a standing rule, but I disagree with the priority and handling. This means that I am not really reassured by the rules (which are supposed to be there to help protect me as an investor). I am troubled when "productive core work of companies" is diverted away out of proportion it AS I SEE IT (others disagree). All this has resulted in me personally greatly reducing my "buying" here with my Linden$.

So my reasons not to jump in aren't really related to you yourself or the concept of NIC. Yet these circumstances are holding me back so I'll share them.

I don't want to sidetrack or hijack your thread! The only question I have is "what to do about your large MNM holdings" and you are in the process of answering that. My other questions are things I need to answer.

Having said all that, I sincerely wish you great success in your ventures including this IPO!

Re: IPO Still Selling
Well you guys raise some interesting points. First on MNM, from what I can see looks like Nestler received the shares in a private placement since there were only 1 million shares floated in IPO. I’m not sure what he paid for them but I’d reckon (or maybe hope) it was well below the 5L$ IPO price. Maybe Nestler would want to reveal those terms, maybe he wont in anycase MnM is one dodgy spot on the NIC portfolio.

Besides that the valuation of the company seems ok – its nothing to blow my socks off and run out and buy it – but it is a lot more reasonable then many recent IPO’s I have seen. The problem is as I see it is investor confidence and the lingering question on what happened to JTF deposits. With so much fraud happening on all exchanges what was a small financial community on SL is getting even smaller. I know personally I would never put any real money in any of the exchanges cause it is constant trouble. Just here alone in the past month we have seen the POW drama, TNW folding and ceo disappearing leaving investors high and dry, MnM losing 59 million Lindens in market cap and the ever looming SLW/JTF situation.

So quite frankly why would an investor buy into an IPO? Personally I wouldn’t – nothing against Nestler and his ability – or the quality of his company – I just don’t see why anyone would take a chance with all the fraud and failures around.

I think Nestler is probably a pretty good manager from what I have seen – and his offer seems ok but in these market conditions I wouldn’t touch any IPO unless it was a beauty. Personally I don’t even have the confidence to leave substantial cash balance in SLCAPEX overnight. Still I do wish him luck

Re: IPO Still Selling
I appreciate everyone's comments here.

For the record the "additional" shares were acquired from a private sale between myself and the former owner of SL Tronics. Yes the price was below the $5 a share.

Re: IPO Still Selling
To Scott

I think you should consideer to end the ipo at some day in the near future and keep the rest of the shares in the company treasury or may be pay a divident to that people who have shares already .
If the ipo goes on like this the once who have invested already will not see any divident for the next month.

Re: IPO Still Selling
Hello Scott

I think you should may be give a divident to that who already have shares . or you should ent the ipo at the end of this month.
Else the once who already invested will sit there on their shares for the next month (if the ipo goes on like this ) being unable to seel them or to make any proffit form the invested money .
