Partial Solution for Liquidity Problems.
According to Investor Allen, he has over a million linden in cash at CapEx as well as a rather large stock portfolio. He has expressed that he is having trouble getting the cash out due to the caps. He also doesn't want to mass liquidate his stocks and crash the prices. Finally he says he wants to work things out.

I believe a partial solution is rather obvious and simple.... a person to person transfer. I suggest hosting an event and people can come make offers on a first come - first serv basis. The list of stock holdings could be posted and customers could trade 50,000L of AFB deposits for like 65,000L worth of a stock of their choice.

This would ease the liquidity crunch without crashing the markets. If people sell the stock afterward, that is their choice.

INC would be happy to facilitate this.

Re: Partial Solution for Liquidity Problems.
Marc,

Why are you offering to reduce Investor Allen's debt? He proposed $0.50 in cash and one share in AIG to each investor per $0.5 invested in ALF

A lack of communication by IA should not be rewarded, three SLCX shares for each $0.5 invested would be my suggestion.

I'm definately not offering to reduce his debt. I apologize for any confusion. I would like to for this all to get resolved though.

I have 600k on deposit at the his bank that I want to get back, so I think he should be willing to make a trade. And that being the case, everyone should have the opportuinity to do so, in my opinion. It is relatively easy to do.

Also, I am talking about the AVIX deposits, I dont know much of anything about the other ventures he is involved in.

Re: Partial Solution for Liquidity Problems.
As an investor with 250,000 lindens blocked in AFB and 500,000 AIG shares as investment returns still unaccessible, I'd be willing to work things out in such a manner. However, the chaotic 'first come first served basis' do bother me a little, and wonder how we could plan a process of share distribution that would be as fair as possible for all investors - big and small?

Just found Allen's new update posted earlier this morning in the forum. Please disregard the reply above, unless Allen wishes to discuss this option further.

Unfortunately the update today doesn't say anything about the funds on deposit at the bank or why the plan that was laid out has not been executed.

Also, deposits are no longer earning interest. An announcement was never made about that either. I understand that this is an unpleasant sitation, but this needs to get worked out.

Marc,

Having read your explanation to your suggested remedy, I agree that it's a sensible solution.

Good luck!

Re: Partial Solution for Liquidity Problems.
I like your proposal Marc. I find Allen very easy to work with and suggest you propose the idea to him directly if this drags on. I imagine something can be worked out for the benefit of all involved, and I would be in favor of an equity swap. I am a little cautious about a 'first come first served' basis though, as some people don't always stay abreast of the situation like us and might miss out. That would only cause more tension in an already delicate situation.

I have been accruing interest on my AFB balances....Are you sure you are not? If so, I would address this with Allen immidiately.

While not a shareholder, I have been following this thread with interest (no pun intended - sorry).

Perhaps, other than a first-come-first-serve basis, a lottery could be used. Shareholders receive one "ticket" per 1000 shares held (or portion thereof). And a max number of tickets so the small investor isn't squeezed out.

Just throwing it out there ... I don't have a dog in this hunt.

Cheers,

I have also seen no interest as Marc has. I filed a support ticket. I'm sure it will be rectified or explained one way or the other.
