CEO's Report and Forward Guidance
=================================

Please find the October 2008 Income Statement and Balance Sheet for BIG appended below. I will also repost them in the BIG Forum for archival purposes.

BIG Shareholders should be VERY pleased with the recent BIG Asset Realignment. It has immediately improved the BIG Asset base with a pool of assets that have much better performance prospects than our prior weighting. The new portfolio strategy is primarily targeted toward PRIM PRODUCT and SERVICE companies and seeks to minimize exposure to SL Real Estate-based businesses. There are still a couple of under-performing R.E. Co's in the portfolio - will look to rotate out of those where possible.

I am extremely optimistic about SL CapEx's future prospects and the BIG portfolio weighting clearly demonstrates that belief. Going forward, I'll continue to look to monetize our profits regularly and will always distribute dividends when those opportunities avail themselves.

Very little positives to report this month with respect to BIG. The portfolio lost some value this month and we earned very little in dividends although we did manage to earn a small profit of approx L$7,000 on short-term trades. I'm hopeful that the recent Change of Ownership announcement for SL CapEx will help us turn the corner.

Monthly shameless plug. I am continuing to look for compelling investment opportunities - keep me posted if you find one that might be a good fit for our Investment strategy.

Our Asset value grew by just over L$225,000 this month as I continue to rotate free cashflow into our core holdings which are again growing. Net Income was just over L$6,700 - rather than paying the small profit out in a Dividend this month I'll look to reinvest the income to grow the core portfolio.

CEO's Report and Forward Guidance

I was able to squeeze out a very marginal profit this month in spite of market conditions. As I have done the past couple of months I will be paying out the majority of that profit to shareholders as a dividend to be paid late this evening.

In spite of the general market malaise the BIG portfolio is holding up fairly well - investors may recognize that the decline in the portfolio's asset value over the last month (approximately L$35K) is LESS than was paid out in dividends for May - I think overall that's an accomplishment.

For the nearterm as I suggested last month I'm generally planning to stand pat with the current portfolio until I can get a better sense of where the SL Financial Markets are headed.

When and where possible I will continue to contribute my own Dividend Distribution to the Fund and Shareholders so that I can distribute a token dividend to our long term holders. I have again booked my contribution on the Balance Sheet as Dividend INCOME (rather than regular Income) as that seems a little more appropriate then Reg. Income or Additional Paid-In-Capital.

I will distribute a Dividend of L$40K (about $L0.02 per share) as a reward to those who have hung with us for the long haul.

Regarding Forward Guidance - Ummm... elifino... you tell me ;-)

I've not yet recognized any Income from the Special Trustee Project I'm working on for Arbitrage and SLW - however after reviewing the project I suspect it will contribute considerably less income than the AFB Trustee Project has - speaking of... with the completion of the Final AFB Claims disbursement this weekend I will be devoting a fair percentage of time to the new project so I should have a revenue projection for that next month - more on that as I deg into the detail.

I'll close with my standard monthly shameless plug. I am continuing to look for compelling investment opportunities - keep me posted if you find one that might be a good fit for our Investment strategy.

CEO's Report and Forward Guidance

Shareholders, as you all probably recognize by now, the Market has very little positive momentum which is making it extremely difficult to turn profitable day trades. A quick look at our portfolio shows that I have rotated out of most stocks that have no volume. We're still stranded in a few securities that are clearly just languishing. I have (and am considering to continue) selling off some percentage of that portion of our portfolio at a small loss just to get into some stocks that maintain better liquidity (albeit at higher risk due to the extreme vomatility of thos stocks (you all know which ones those are).

For the second straight month I am contributing my own Dividend Distribution to the Fund and Shareholders so that I can continue to distribute a token dividend to our long term holders. Retained Earnings this month were a little over L$65K - (including my contribution). After careful consideration I have actually booked my contribution on the Balance Sheet as Dividend INCOME (rather than regular Income) as that seems a little more appropriate then Reg. Income or Additional Paid-In-Capital.

I will again distribute a Dividend of L$50K (about $L0.025 per share) as a reward to those who have hung with us for the long haul.

Regarding Forward Guidance - At this point I really have no idea any more how to predict what the market will do given the largely negative general investor sentiment and other externalities so I'll just commit to continue maintaining the portfolio using relatively conservative strategies and will (for now) focus on improving liquidity of the fund as discussed above.

As I mentioned last month, I have begun working a special project for Arbitrage as part of BIG's Trustee Service which should offset some of the income lost due to the completion of the Allenvest Project. It's too early to project what that revenue stream might contribute - more on that as detail becomes available.

As always, I c'm continuing to look for compelling investment opportunities - keep me posted if you find one that might be a good fit for our Investment strategy.

CEO's Report and Forward Guidance
=================================

Shareholders, yet another month with some difficulty turning a consistent profit via trading. I have rotated out of some higher risk securities and increased our core holdings this month - that helps the asset base quite a bit.

Retained Earnings this month were a little over L$65K - this actually includes a GIFT I contributed this month (the Dividend I would normally draw down myself I have re-gifted to BIG and the shareholders (honestly, to grow the portfolio). Rather than book it as additional Paid-in-Capital I have recorded it as regular Income.

I will again distribute a Dividend of L$50K (about $L0.025 per share) as a reward to those who have hung with us for the long haul.

Going forward, I'm running a couple of weeks behind in distributing the Final Allenvest proceeds however I do anticipate the FINAL distribution will go out to claimants by mid-month. I have begun working a special project for Arbitrage as part of BIG's Trustee Service which should offset some of the income lost due to the completion of the Allenvest Project. It's too early to project what that revenue stream might contribute - more on that as detail becomes available.

As always, I c'm continuing to look for compelling investment opportunities - keep me posted if you find one that might be a good fit for our Investment strategy.

For your Review I've appended the April 2008 Income Statement and Balance Sheet for BIG to this message and will also repost them in the BIG Forum for archival purposes. The Dividend will be processed shortly.

CEO's Report and Forward Guidance

Shareholders, in spite of a difficult trading environment and significant negative sentiment in the SL Capital Marketplace we've managed to grow the asset base of BIG by another L$130K+ this month over and above the L$100K dividend we paid in early March. The BIG Investment Portfolio NPV reached L$1.2M late in the month and our core holdings are holding steady.

Retained Earnings this month were a little over L$52K. Given current market conditions I'm going to go ahead and distribute a Dividend of L$50K (about $L0.025 per share) as a reward to those who have hung with us. Perhaps you can find a better investment opportunity than I this month - maybe buy mama some new shoes! ;-)

Going forward, I anticipate our second quarter performance will likely be comparatively light from a revenue standpoint; we are in the Final Stages of the AFB-Allenvet Trustee effort and expect to wind down by end of April. Also, with little new money being invested into the SL CapEx Fraud Fund and LT Portfolios we'll likely see less commission opportunity there.

I'm always looking for opportunities - keep me posted if you find one that might be a good fit for our Investment strategy.

In the interest of providing a FAIR MARKET TO ALL IN the Co's I CONTROL I have LIFTED ALL My LIMIT BUYS and LIMIT SELLS & will maintain 80% Control at minimum.

(50% personal + 30% Treasury) in both BIG & BTR until we get more definitive direction from the folks at LL.

As an Exchange Official I will also refrain from buying or selling ANY securities in my portfolio for at least the next 72 hours to allow those whom may need to adjust their own portfolio PRIORITY OVER MY OWN STRATEGIES.

It is far too soon for me to speculate with any confidence what LL's Announcement may mean to NON-BANK Financial Entities. Quite simply, more clarification is needed from LL as to what IS and IS NOT Acceptable. Will share any definitive information as it's received.
