July 2008 financials posted. No new changes. We're just too strapped with lack of capital to do much right now, including moving forward with the programmers to finalize the products since they now need funds to operate themselves.

How much are we talking about, that is needed for the product to be finnished and ready for sale?

As i read in the monthly financials:

"We are still having a capital shortage that is preventing us from finishing the program."

As i read in the prospectus:

" If there is a shortage of funds, JTF will loan the business the necessary funds to make the improvements."

Hm, why this is not going to happen?

<![CDATA[ Re: Buy Back]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/WPM/1213
Although I agree with Yannick about the ceiling, I am satisfied that the answer is reasonable, regardless of my opinion, which is that you should fight the price drop in another fashion.

It seems to me that three additional topics need addressing. First, the thought that an IPO, for a company that is brand new, should return a 20% profit in less than a month. That is not anywhere near my concept of how this should normally work. A 20% return in a quarter perhaps.

This leads me to my second topic. Daytrading vs. Investing. Sound familiar? There are loads forum post in the General Investment Discussion section. I won't rehash them all here. Your Welcome, lol. I will say this. If you are buying an IPO for a quick buck, the only way you'll make it is if it drops like a rock. Arbitrage actually stopped this from taking place. No drop, no large profit opportunity. IPOs are bouth, in my mind, as a longer term investment. They usually don't exhibit a lot of volitility, which is necessary to gain large amounts quickly. SLCX would be more appropriate for that, as it is low priced and high volume.

As the CEO of LCA, I am here to tell you, that volitility is not something I enjoy, as it takes me from my duties to make my investors money. It needs to be dealt with. So, if someone has a reason to sell off early, why not approach the company CEO first. Or get a broker to move them silently for you. Everyone gets paid and noone gets damaged.

Lastly, the profit of a company should be derived from it's primary markets and not on the buying and selling of its' own shares, unless that is a by-product of another move to help the company.

Happy New Years to All :)

<![CDATA[ Re: Buy Back]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/WPM/1213
Why did I buy into this IPO in the first place you may ask? Good questi1on, I bought into it because I thought it would go quickly, I was wrong. I also thought it might be a good short term (30 days or so) investment. By the time it hit the market though there was another opportunity (not an IPO) that was a better option for my portfolio. So I took the buyout, took the minor loss, and have already come out ahead.

So all that I can say, is thank you Arb for the opportunity to do a little trading! My portfolio is happy, you are happy, so it is a win win for everyone! :-)

I will also state, that I am not the one who was originally selling at .97. Actually my strike price was 1.20. But after Arb offered this and I did the math, I decided I would still come out ahead! Isn't that what this game is all about?

<![CDATA[ Re: Buy Back]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/WPM/1213
if I get this right, the huge buy order is set up as some floor so we (you) do not lose too much. And at the same time, you set up a 500k sell order to put more shares on the floor? Why limit your so called "late tax" to 0.01? If you don't need the money, why put more shares out at 1.01, if its not only to trade the stock?

If it weren't for the sell order, everyone could benefit from buying/selling over 0.97, and all would be happy. Those that bought at IPO (i did) are currently stucked with a stock they can't even trade, and should be happy that we can sell at a little loss. Just who are you protecting? Your shareholders who bought at IPO?

There are lots of ideas and recommendations on this thread alone, but if you feel that you should go ask someone else, i'd recommend doing it in a short laps of time before we all sell at a loss and lose trust. (I, for one, have lost a lot of it. My shares are all for sell at 1.00)

<![CDATA[ Re: Buy Back]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/WPM/1213
When we IPO'ed WPM, we had to pay a 2% fee to Capex. Therefore, if we bought the shares back at .98L, it wouldn't do us any good. So we pegged the price at .97 in order to ensure that the WPM prices never fall below that benchmark while generating some form of profits for our shareholders, as well as provide liquidity for the stock. In other words, you can be sure that if you ever want to cash out on WPM, there will be a buyer. So as an investor, you'll never be stuck with the stock or have to pay a hefty price to move it.

As for selling the stock at 1.01, consider the .01L as a 'tax' for being late. If you did not buy WPM during IPO, then it's not too late, but you'll have to pay a little more than those who believed and committed with us early. If we just sold it at 1L, it would be unfair to those that purchased the shares during IPO.

Overall, this is not an attempt to manipulate stock prices, but rather more as a way to control volatility, offer liquidity, as well as offer others a chance to buy into our business. No matter what happens, at least you can sleep soundly knowing that the biggest risk you'll take with WPM is .03L, and once you make .03L back, you'll simply be playing with the house's money.

Having said all that, I will probably go and talk to others that are better than me at this 'game' and see what their recommendations are, because I am far from being a stock market expert.

It is noble that you would like to give back to SL :) I'm sure we all appreciate your attempt and your many other aids. None of us begrudge you a profit, as most of us are parasitically benefiting each time you do.

That said, I'm troubled to understand some of your statements. Please help this newb to GET IT :)

Why on earth would you tell a shareholder they can "cash out" of your firm, let alone for a "VERY LITTLE loss". I'm fighting like crazy to keep mine, lol.

Would it not benefit all shareholders, including the largest(Yourself), to have everyone keep their shares and thus create further demand? And why after a week on the open market do a buy back? I ask these questions in hope that I may derive a new strategy to incorporate into my own.

And if you, "The truth is, we don't need the funds for this business. I IPO'ed it as a way to share the wealth and contribute to the SL community.", had this intent in mind, how does an immediate buy back and clogging of the stock help anyone at all. I would imagine the liquidity is lower than it would otherwise be, which in turn hurts the Exchange as well.

I actually have less issue with the buyback than with whoever is selling them at 1.01L. If that is you could you tell me so, cause I'll have another question or 2.

I, without sarcasm as I some times use, am definately missing these points and would appreciate learning from you.

Thank You and have a Happy New Year :)

"maximizing profits on market gaps...."

That's what most of us do, but forcing an artificial gap on your own stock, is a little opposed to a free market. At least, i would have hoped that the 1.00 mark would be centered on the gap, since we mostly all bought shares at that price.

Just because we're 'the company' doesn't mean we can't profit of a profitable situations. Don't forget what 'Arbitrage" means - maximizing profits on market gaps....

Look on the bright side, at least WPM will be stable and you can always cash out at a VERY LITTLE loss, with profits to gain.

buy 100K @ 1L

IPO completes

Sell 100K for .95L (lose of 7375L actual investment)

This creates fear.

Wait for drop

Buy back at 200K @ .80L

Buy in creates frenzy - large volume = excitement

rises right back to .95L to 1L

creates sell opportunity

make linden (sell 100k @ .975L Avg. Keep 100K)

net change = 160K L - (97,5K +2437.5(2nd Comm)) = 60062.5L

60062.50 + 7375 = 67K

new share cost .67 (nice profit) (still control market)

this should take long enough to receive a dividend, lol

Repeat til' rich

Just a Thought :) Money makes money in SL!

Keep your shares and stay long. The only way to beat this is to keep from being fearful as a group. Don't buy a stock unless the prospectus and team warrant it.

Buy the people not the company idea! There are a lot of great ideas in SL, but not enough commited people to go around. I know, I'm looking hard! (Shameless plug :))

Watch execution and not fan fair (except mine, lol)

Now for the prospectus, should I still believe what's written on it? Will there really be a Rental system? Will there be dividends?

If the money wasn't necessary, then why buy back to make a tiny profit? Sounds to me like "I don't need the money, but i'll take it anyway, thanks!" And we're screwed with a 0.04 gap, with a 0.01 margin since we mostly all got them at 1.00.

<![CDATA[ Re: Buy Back]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/WPM/1213
Analyze the situation with me, we have a spin off I believe of a lucrative company. The new firm is more than sound financially. IPO wasn't necessary. The prospectus basically says IPO doesn't matter, going live anyway. This is a no brainer investment, right?

So the price drops cause someone needs linden quick or they are leaving SL and cashing out. Whatever, I say, thx for the bump. and move on. So the guy who started the company runs the stock exchange and wants another winning firm with a price over a linden. It really makes good sense for the exchange more than WPM. More commissions and dividends for Arb's other entities. win win win. and we get cheaper shares for a little bit.

5 shares or 500k shares, it's just a number. it is free market if we let it go. as you increase your wealth that will be you. It does bum me out to see a loose canon with a lot of linden. But it isn't every day around here.

Looks like someone is selling 500k at 1.01. So much for a free market!

this is not funny. You are buying back another 500k? So now the price is really 0.97. You make a little profit, and we all lose?

note to self: Open IPO. Let price drop. Buy back for profit.

Arb, i understand you didn't really needed the money for this project, and just wanted to share a bit of the future profits with us, but buying back 1 week after it started trading, just because it's 0.03 below IPO??? Come on. Don't tell me you needed some pocket change?
