"SLCapEx, WSE, DSE, ISE & VSTex all use the SLEC?"

While at the VSTEX we commend the efforts geared towards building a more transparent and scam/fraudless securities market, there isn't any relationship between us and the SLEC and there won't be one for the foreseeable future.

At a later stage this may change. Right now we follow our own vision, while we stay open to suggestions.

Correction... it'll have slightly more value than next to worthless because then BNT can charge fees for profit, but won't be paid out in a dividend till 2010.

However, I have a low tolerance for BS and rudeness. I am impatient in most cases and can be abrasive even thought most know me as a sweetheart. I don't give Intlibber anymore grief that I give my mother and if you think I am lying, I will give you her email address and you can ask her about the IOU I made her sign to borrow money or the lecture I gave her on writing her papers for her MBA.

BNT has the potential to continue to do well and even better if there was a little more humbleness. There is no need in stirring people into confrontation, day trader, or no. There is a way to talk to people and there is a way to be an asshole.

I admit that I have done my share of stirring the pot and I have probably crossed the line but at the same time it is what it is. Always be prepared to take what you dish out is all I can say.

So, here's to you Intlibber....Think about how what you say sounds to someone else. Be objective in your reasoning and realize that everyone doesn't have the IQ you so heartily boast about. The smartest person can also be the biggest idiot but the logcial thinker that accounts for the thoughts of others will always have an arsenal of people for support.

I agree that Int doesn't have the best PR manners in the world. However, most of the high level execs I have worked with in RL and SL haven't had the best PR manners. It doesn't take away from the fact that the man has a vision and a plan. He also has a good team and a great set of sims.

I have discussed before the issue of low stock price. I do feel there may be too many shares of BNT in total. However the policy of Int using his personal shares to acquire companies does ease that concern somewhat.

Can we please put the issue of a company that owns an exchange being listed on the exchange to bed? To all of those people who have issue with a company that is listed on a stock exchange that it owns, I invite you to look up:

NYX on NYSE Euronext:

Or perhaps NDAQ on NASDAQ:

or even LSE on London Stock Exchange:

<![CDATA[ Re: BNT Trading Halted]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/549
The issue is that SLCAPEX has ILLEGALLY banned BNT from the exchange for no apparent reason!

There have been no warnings. No threats of punitive actions. Nothing! There have been no explanations of what portions of the SLCAPEX TOS have been violated!

This should be the concern of all shareholders, whether they hold BNT stock or not! They should NOT be concerned if Int can read or produce a balance sheet. My goodness! He can hire accountants for that for goodness sakes!

Wake up guys! Forget your personal vendettas against Int and concentrate on what is screwing us up now! It is not Int , it is SLCAPEX! They are delisting BNT wihtout cause. There have been no warnings, no issues raised, etc. They are delisting companies contrary to their own TOS.

Don't get me wrong. Personally I think Int is a braggart and an SOB! I would not choose to associate with him in RL or SL for that matter. And I don't do either, and never will as far as I can help it!

But personal biases do not belong in business! BNT is getting screwed by SLCAPEX at this point, and you should be directing your anger against SLCAPEX instead of BNT.

DISCLOSURE: I own 0 shares of BNT. I sold them off a long time ago at a sweet profit, when Int showed his true colors as an SOB! I am not a friend of Int's! In fact I can produce rants, on request, that I have sent him. This is not about Int, it is about how SLCAPEX is handling what appears to be a personal vendetta against someone who dares to disagree with them in no uncertain terms.

So take that as you may.

Also - Int and Nick are not the only ones who could crash BNT. There are other large holders out there...they just don't hold 5% or more. It takes a lot to get to the 5% or more club. However a holder of mid six figures or more might do the trick.

It appears that SLCapex is abusing the process to attack BNT directly, due to our plans for our own exchange. This sort of anti-competitive behavior is what was seen by victims of LukeConnell Vandeverre's actions in June, and is inimical to market stability and confidence in the market by investors. It is exactly this sort of behavior why we believe another exchange with integrity is needed.

IntLibber Brautigan: anybody in the Capex group? and if anybody is in the old AVIX group or whatever Capex is using for a group, please put out a notice there about this meeting

Meeting Called to Order:
IntLibber Brautigan: so lets call this meeting to order
IntLibber Brautigan: i want to thank everybody for coming who showed up to this beautiful building that will soon be the center of financial activity in SL, as new investors will arrive here from RL, to invest and help revive the SL economy from this point outward.
IntLibber Brautigan: Has everybody had a chance to peruse our latest financials for last quarter on slcapex.com? If so, you can see weve remained financially stable despite a downturn in the SL economy and other events. We've also come out with a number of new products, and will have more to announce as well.
IntLibber Brautigan: We also want to announce that as Patrickj Ah has taken over CGI, we have been negotiating with him in the takeover of that company, in order to move their residents to our sims and liquidate the mainland assets of that company. We have put in a bid of 2 shares of BNT for every 3 shares of CGI, given a comparative NAV of .175 for CGI and .29 for BNT. The shareholders of CGI will vote on this tomorrow and we are confident that our bid will be accepted.
IntLibber Brautigan: We also want to announce that we have purchased the assets of Global Credit, the makers of the only in-word credit card system, including full and exclusive rights to their IP. We will be licensing credit cards to other banks in SL over the coming few months. The purchase was made with 600k L$. The staff of Global Credit will join BNT Financial. We expect to double our return on investment in licensing fees alone, and then enjoy positive cash flow from interest earned on borrowing on avatar credit cards.
IntLibber Brautigan: BNT will soon be opening its stock exchange here in Venture Square, including shorting and other options, currency futures as well as a new type of market, land futures. Our exchange will feature inworld graphical charts, P/E and PEG data, as well as integrated P&L systems for CEOs to better manage company finances. our exchange will be completely SLEC compliant, which we expect will result in top investor confidence in our exchange over others.
IntLibber Brautigan: And finally, I want to note that, despite the recent downturn in stock price, BNT has risen from a low of .17 earlier this week to .26, indicating increased investor confidence in the management of the company.
IntLibber Brautigan: and despite Ginko selling more than 2.2 million shares of stock into the face of significant upward price pressure
IntLibber Brautigan: Thus i think we can conclude that the market is showing much increased confidence in BNT and its future.
**IntLibber Brautigan: those are the end of my comments, I'd like to open the floor to questions,
Kahai Kubo: With the purchase of Global Credit will you be creating a SL credit reporting system?
IntLibber Brautigan: yes it will, the system includes a credit scoring system that will tie all licensed card systems together
IntLibber Brautigan: we will in effect be the Visa or Mastercard of SL
IntLibber Brautigan: along with being a credit agency
Tizzers Foxchase: What will be the starting credit limit, and who will this credit card be available to?
Marc Attenborough: most of the systems here cant even calculate P/E , Sharp Ratios, or Standard Deviation. How do you intend to jump the curve and introduce short options?
Marc Attenborough: covered options arent even available yet
IntLibber Brautigan: New avs will start with a low credit limit, maybe 20-50 L$, as they add payment info, or disclose RL ID info, their credit limits will greatly increase as well as long as their credit history remains positive
IntLibber Brautigan: Marc the P/E and PEG information will be naturally calculated from data submitted by our integrated P&L reporting system
IntLibber Brautigan: this will allow for easy charting on our inworld graphs as well as on the website
Marc Attenborough: that all sounds like a logical second step, other than going with short options... that introduces a huge element of risk
IntLibber Brautigan: the short options will not allow for naked shorting at all, we intend to start off very conservatively in this market
IntLibber Brautigan: and we will use accepted mathematical rules for determining how the shorting system works to ensure that it remains stable and liquid
King Broome: you will honor put option even the company went belly up, right?
Alyx Stoklitsky: More importantly: Might I ask... what the purpose of a credit card in SL is?
IntLibber Brautigan: that depends upon who is doing the put options king
IntLibber Brautigan: if a CEO uses an alt to do puts cause he knows hes closing his company, then we have issues to deal with
Marc Attenborough: i guess where i am confused is that why would you short a stock that you already own
King Broome: well the out option is insurance in some case
Marc Attenborough: why not just sell it
IntLibber Brautigan: the purpose of a credit card in SL is to help people maintain their consumer activities despite not having cash at hand, for the same reason people have credit cards in RL
Alyx Stoklitsky: But in SL you can just click "Buy Lindens"...
Kahai Kubo: and hopefully the beginnings of a credit reporting system
IntLibber Brautigan: Who knows what some folks may try to do Marc, but we intend on making sure the system isnt' abused in any fashion
Cliff Eclipse: Who else has credit cards in SL?
IntLibber Brautigan: and Alyx, some people may not be able to buy lindens at the time they need them
King Broome: First meta has credit card
IntLibber Brautigan: Global Credit sold an earlier system to LLBT
IntLibber Brautigan: but its not licensable
Amelie Dibou: and could avoid the 3% transaction fee, if the person is expecting Lindens to be earned in the near future
Cliff Eclipse: The Bank has them? IntLibber Brautigan: The Bank does not
IntLibber Brautigan: and in any event, The Bank is in very bad shape right now. They were working on introducing a RL debit card for L$ to US use
but did not have a credit card for inworld transactions at all
IntLibber Brautigan: First Meta is a rather new operation, and actually may be infringing on BNT Financials copyrights in SL, given our old name was Meta Bank
Cliff Eclipse: Will this be the start of Credit Reporting Agency?
IntLibber Brautigan: yes
Ashleigh Wade: what is the timeframe for the credit system? when do you plan to launch?
IntLibber Brautigan: We have a fully functioning system now, and we plan on making cards available for BNTF customers within a week
IntLibber Brautigan: we will then be licensing systems to other banks
Kahai Kubo: Regarding dividends, are your plans to only issue them for every 100 sims sold as previously stated? Or do you forsee potential dividends when these new projects take hold?
Kahai Kubo: Don»t get me wrong I»m glad I bought BNT but it»s been a long ride with no forseeable income aside from trading the stock I»d like to hold.
IntLibber Brautigan: When the new projects take hold, if our profit situation improves by very large degrees, then we will revisit the dividend policy, however we have a very long term plan in place that goes beyond our immediate projects.
Tizzers Foxchase: Intlibber, how do you plan on utilizing the SLEC to act as an effective watchdog on the slcapex? Will there be a Sarbanes-Oxley type regulatory structure with severe consequences for fraudulent activity?
IntLibber Brautigan: as many know, we plan on opening our own independent grid here in New Hampshire
IntLibber Brautigan: We expect wrt to other exchanges, that as companies list in our exchange, this will generate more market pressure for exchanges to comply. The success of SLEC in the market depends largely on the investor on the street to care about who they invest with and the ethics and standards of those operations
Marc Attenborough: Can Second Life Support a 5th Stock exchange?
IntLibber Brautigan: We are negotiating with some rather large companies in SL who want to IPO on our exchange only, because they feel we are the only credible organization that can manage an exchange in a mature and responsible fashion
IntLibber Brautigan: there are also some large companies on the other exchanges who feel trapped in those exchanges and are looking for a more
SkyRanger Hammerer: Could it be derogatory to the exchange that you are currently listed some of the comments about the current in-world exchanges' "lack of credibility"?
Tizzers Foxchase: Also, does it not worry investors that the exchange is going to be controlled by one of its own traded companies? If Microsoft were to control the NASDAQ, would that not make investors nervous?
IntLibber Brautigan: When an exchange rejects an IPO without even reading the prospectus, and its staff demonstrate they never read it, that is de facto evidence that they are not operating credibly
SkyRanger Hammerer: The same exchange that you currently have your business listed? How is that assuring to current and prospect investors concerning BNT?
IntLibber Brautigan: All exchanges in SL have the owning company listed on that exchange, and Down Jones lists itself on the NYSE
IntLibber Brautigan: Dow Jones.....should an exchange operating company be listed on a different exchange? that seems rather irresponsible and leaves a company open to sabotage by competitors... you don't demand that macdonalds only sell its burgers at burger king
Marc Attenborough: Dow Jones is not an exchange
SkyRanger Hammerer: Or may leave the option to use arbitrage for current investors and fund managers
IntLibber Brautigan: Dow Jones Company owns the NYSE
Tizzers Foxchase: Yes but Dow Jones and the NYSE aren't controlled by a single person either. You can't deny that there is going to be concern about internal manipulation.
IntLibber Brautigan: only by those who have zero experience with my own integrity, however we plan on appointing another person to be CEO of the exchange and we plan on making it operate under rules of community governance
Marc Attenborough: The NYSE is operated by NYSE Euronext, which was formed by its merger with the fully electronic stock exchange Archipelago Holdings and
Maelstrom Baphomet: Why is it no Exchange owner wants to CEO their own exchange? That's always suprised me.
IntLibber Brautigan: Marc thats a recent development
Ashleigh Wade: Dow Jones doesn't own nyse Int - however NYX is listed on NYSE Euronext.
IntLibber Brautigan: yes however Dow Jones used to own NYSE, the buyout by euronext was recent..either way the objection lacks validity
Marc Attenborough: Who will do the banking... because i believe its a conflict of interest for the bank & exchange to be commingled
IntLibber Brautigan: they bank will be separate from the exchange
Maelstrom Baphomet: Investment bank.
IntLibber Brautigan: Thor Columbia is our VP of Finance Cliff is VP of Lending
Marc Attenborough: which bank, is my question... M2B?
IntLibber Brautigan: their operations are entirely spearate from the exchange
The exchange is the Ancapistan Capital Exchange or ACE
Maelstrom Baphomet: At least you got a good anacronym for it.
IntLibber Brautigan: I'm looking for people like those who came tonite to be involved in the community governance side of the exchange. I definitely don't want to be, or be seen, as some manipulative tyrant
Farqot Gustafson: Hopefully the Apex Currency Exchange on WSE doesn't scream.
SkyRanger Hammerer: Sl is currently overun by exchanges and the residents are currently lacking the liquidity with the currentexchanges. Very difficult for yet, another one to surge
Kahai Kubo: Would you be kind enough to take over all of the bloody SL exchanges so I don»t have to go to four websites to check my stocks please?
Maelstrom Baphomet: I like multiple exchanges. Competition will either breed integrity or destroy the ones without.
IntLibber Brautigan: that may happen Kahai, or you can just have your favority companies vote with their feet to move to our exchange
Kahai Kubo: Good point Maelstrom but when will it end?
Maelstrom Baphomet: It's a libretarian economy Kahai, it never will, prepare to be vigilant for a very long time until someone becomes authoritarian.
Maelstrom Baphomet: Without control , there will never be stability. It's just the law of human nature.
IntLibber Brautigan: are there any other questions?
Marc Attenborough: new products in the works?
IntLibber Brautigan: yes
Tizzers Foxchase: I see the credit card system ending badly. There is too much room for exploitation and not enough real demand for it. It will be an easy way for griefer alts to pick up quick spending cash.
IntLibber Brautigan: the Rat Thing avatar profiler is being released to market tomorrow this is the most advanced security system in SL works with an agent HUD and can network over an entire estate
Cliff Eclipse: Do you have any statistics on "911"?
IntLibber Brautigan: is integrated with banlink
IntLibber Brautigan: how do you mean cliff?
Cliff Eclipse: Effectiveness? Sales?
Marc Attenborough: the mailbox tier system you impletmented is awesome, any plans to roll that out to the public?
IntLibber Brautigan: Mark is handling sales, and its only been on the market a week or so, so we don't have any sales reports available yet
SkyRanger Hammerer: Sl is currently overun by exchanges and the residents are currently lacking the liquidity with the current exchanges. Very difficult for yet, another one to surge. Have you considered overexpansion with this new strategy and how to still preserve shareholder value?
IntLibber Brautigan: Well if you've followed our prior announcements
IntLibber Brautigan: we have our own orientation island and will be opening that shortly as our RL ads start circulating and driving new SL users directly to our estate via our branded OI experience
IntLibber Brautigan: our OI offers the most in depth training for new users with an interactive hud that provides immersive inductive learning in many languages. Businesses located in our estates will have free ad space in our OI
those outside our estates will have to pay for that exposure
IntLibber Brautigan: we will be advertising on major financial websites
and promoting on Wall Street itself to bring investment class users to SL to our estates and our exchange
Maelstrom Baphomet: Do you consider your exchange to be a real exchange or a purely game environment based game?
Alyx Stoklitsky: Didn't Forbes recently kill any hope of serious investment in SL?
IntLibber Brautigan: we expect that with the features we will offer that it will be the most real exchange that can be provided, however all companies will remain virtual
IntLibber Brautigan: how so Alyx?
SkyRanger Hammerer: My main concern is, if the exchange idea does not function, as I have commented on the current matter, what will you do to still preserve shareholder value?
IntLibber Brautigan: The media has been in a normal backlash cycle, mainly because LL does not do much, if at all, any advertising and certainly does not cater to the investment community
IntLibber Brautigan: we expect that with the end of the wagering in SL
that migration of SL from a vegas economy to a wall street economy is the natural evolution
IntLibber Brautigan: if SL does not make that evolution, then the economy here has few if any options
Maelstrom Baphomet: I disagree.More like an evolution from a vegas econcomy to a more barter economy with a very mild amount of transactions going through capital markets.
IntLibber Brautigan: okay, thanks everybody for coming, we will keep everyone apprised of developments as they are forthcoming
SkyRanger Hammerer: What have, or are you doing to safeguard BNT and its shareholders against possible exposure to losses with this aggressive strategy?
Thor Columbia: thanks Int, I'm glad to hear all the updates
IntLibber Brautigan: well, we have recently taken an agressive land repricing policy.. We are now undercutting Linden Lab's mainland land prices to ensure that our sims get filled
Maelstrom Baphomet: In fact, based on the most recent information on the level of money coming into SL from the SL economics pages it looks like we are in recession, perhaps even on the verge of the decline of product life cycle.. which is a good reason for LL to be going on auto-pilot if they think the same is true.

IntLibber Brautigan: I want to thank everybody for coming.

Now if this is for August and they can see the future I would like them to contact me and tell me the future of some football game comming up this weekend. Should I take the over or under in the Seattle/Cincinnati 50.5 points. And should I give the NY Giants the 4 points and take Washington for the win to make the Giants loss there first 3 games. And you only answered my questions about the SLEC. You never answered the questions about BNT, why not?

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
I agree to all four pionts! Now its time for SLEC to react, not with words, but with action!

For me as investor especially point two is very important! I need REPRODUCIBLE valid informations about the financial condition and the profit potential of the companies traded here to make my decisions! Without this informations trading is only speculating into the blue!

The informations I got from the BNT Report are very much interpretable. For some reasons I can guess that the company is not working profitable at the moment, even though the report displays a net profit. I can only guess, because this report doesn't achieve to any accounting standart!

For example I see revenues from Land Sales $3,187,607, but no expenses for buying land, or new sims! I guess the expanses for this land are payed in the not reported period before this report, but of course they should be seen here in this report, because otherwise the shown profit is not valid!

I see Stock/Bond Sales/Capital Gains $4,750,000! What is this? no explanation, no comment! I guess this revenue is not part of the operational business and in this case BNT has made a big operational loss not clearly shown in this report!

So please provide a new financial report, clear this questions and use the Capex template, that would be helpful if you really want transparency for your investors and if your talking about responsibility is more than big-mouthed talking!

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
As the CEO of THIS Exchange, here's what I'd REQUIRE of the SLEC before CapEx would consider adopting or endorsing it;

Foremost, ANY entity claiming oversight responsibility for Securities and Exchange related transactions must be able to intelligently articulate current Law and Regulations, US and International, as they may pertain to gameplay within SL. Specifically, it must be able to provide guidance as to the obligations, rights and responsibilities of all parties participating in such activity. It must be able to provide a Standardized Set of Disclosure Statements that would be enforceable and acceptable for entities wishing to particpate in market trading. It must provide SOME SERVICE that adds value to the SL community - to date I've seen none. Here's a few suggestions, top-of-mind;

(1) A clear, concise Misssion Statement, and concrete value proposition. The rhetoric thus far has been quite hollow. Frankly, DO SOMETHING. If the mission is to provide watchdog and policing of Corporate Entities then DO IT! Provide investigative Services, Shareholder advocacy, Due Diligence, Executive Training... TALK IS CHEAP!

(2) To date, the SLEC has not produced a GAAP Compliant Pro Forma Financial Reporting Format. If and when it does, and provided it compels complete transparency by reporting entities, CapEx would consider adopting an SLEC Standard. Until such time, CapEx will REQUIRE all Monthly Reports to be submitted using the CapEx developed Format. Entities refusing to do so will be sanctioned, fined, and de-listed if necessary to compel 100% compliance. No Exceptions.

(3) The role of an exchange is to provide an efficent market for trading - Nothing more. Conversely, the role of any credible oversight "Commission" MUST be to provide LEADERSHIP in the form of COMMUNICATION and CONSENSUS BUILDING amongst member organizations. It would NOT include BASHING skeptics in public forums, or willful disregard and defiance of incumbant exchange policies, nor disrespectful discourse, publicly or privately of views different than your own.

(4) If such parties claiming accountability and authority of/for the SLEC and its charter were to actually develop a credible plan of action to build a self-regulating oversite committee, I suspect that a number of Exchanges might actually get on board, and might actually even be prepared to support such activities economically. Until such time, however, yer just blowing wind.

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
a) we left WSE because of their repeated lack of ethics, they fled Friedman because they refused to follow my estate ruling that banning people and seizing peoples accounts because they were trading on another exchange was anti-competitive. They also blatantly STOLE the artwork that I personally commissioned and paid for myself (the gold bull and bear), by lying to the sculptor and telling her i'd given permission for them to have copies, while I was away on a trip.

b) The August numbers for SLEC were posted.

c) The SLEC is building real standards that will matter and last into the future, it is not in the business of crisis management of issues that arise because the exchanges refuse to operate responsibly for the future of the SL capital markets. The crises that arise from day to day on the exchanges are daily proof positive about why having a vibrant SLEC that investors are involved in is so vital and important for the future of SL.

The fact that crises still happen, and the exchanges they happen on predominately refuse to be involved in the SLEC is an indictment of their irresponsibility, not of any failure on the part of the SLEC.

The failure by day traders like yourself who are only interested in inventing volatility via controversy and conflict, to care about creating responsible standards that will encourage investor confidence in the markets, which will lead to higher stock prices, more capitalization, and greater profits for all, is rather sad, and the fact that you deny the necessity of having such standards demonstrates that you either benefit from the lack of them, or dont really care about investors long term best interest. Thus, the SLEC being a "joke" only exists so much as the people who are involved in the corrupt practices a vibrant SLEC would call to task persist in attacking it.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. The exchanges that dont want a solution to the problem of fraud and failure, thus they refuse to be involved in the SLEC. If the investors of SL want that to end, they need to get involved in the SLEC more.

But since you brought up fraudulent IPOs, didnt BNT start out on WSE and then came to AVIX because Luke took WSE from your land in Friedman and now that SLCaps moved all you have done is talk bad about them. Can you just stick to the fact Libber, like when do you plan on hitting 100 sims? Or do you plan to get to 99 and stop buying them? Or when was the last time you bought a sim? And how often do you plan on buying a sim or just the next sim?
And you say that AVIX supported the SLEC, but from what I read here in the forum AIG is halted right now, but not on the watch list for the SLEC. Oh I see your on the board of SLEC, then maybe you can answer this; When is the SLEC financial summary going to be put out for August?

I think the CapEx does a great job on keeping fraud down. Didn't BNT IPO at 1L$ or was it .50L$ either way .25L$ would still be over priced right now.

Just another scum suck leach day trader, that has made more money in day trading BNT then will ever see in dividends.

And maybe its a red flag that the larger exchanges DON'T endorse SLEC. You named ISE which is almost non-existent and you named AVIX with is NOT existent. So what does that say? That the SLEC is so great the dying and clinically pronounced dead exchanges love us???

Come on! Go back to the drawing board and put out something QUALITY and I will be all for it. But right now, all I hear is talk and you haven't wow'ed me yet.

Being apart of the crowning jewel that even thought up this idea, during the early WSE days before AVIX existed, I have seen this happen before. All talk about how great it is and no real work. Show me something besides a reporting standard that conveniently leaves out particulars and I will clap my hands in praise.

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
Starting a new one does not realy solve this problem, it just pushses it forward while it needs to be resolved as soon as possible. As long as an institution is unable to ENFORCE MANDATORY RULES it is by defenition useless, no matter how it is named or which platform it operates from.

For instance the ongoing comparison of SL bussiness with RL bussines to explain or defend company decisions or actions is a complete mystery to me. Because when they are confronted with mesures from the flip side of the coin of this comparison, like a standard in financial reports (as used in RL) it suddenly becomes a bothersome burden and choose the (still availeble) option that suits them best.

SLcapex and LL statements clearly tell this is a virtual GAME that does not have the pretence to resemble RL bussiness nor will it have in the near foreseeable future.

So it seems SLEC has to pull a heavy load with little authority to back up their decisions.

I agree with your statement, I am also member of SLEC and at the moment I see no reason for leaving.

But that doesn't change the fact that the Capex financial statement template is definitly a better standart than the SLEC template.

A financial report should provide reproducible informations about the finacial condition and the profit potential of the company to its shareholders and potential investors. What I see in IntLibbers report simply does NOT reach this goal! If this is the standart for financial reports that SLEC is approving, SLEC should strongly check their own standarts!

I would personally suggest a more professional web presence with an active webmaster. I know there are developers among us that would volunteer their time and skills to the project.

I would also suggest perhaps hiring of a PR representative. Personal recommendations include Cadence Juran of Crescendo Corporation who has worked so magnificently with Second Life companies including BCX Bank and International Stock Exchange.

I think that there is some promise in the SLEC becoming a collaborative investor think-tank and watchdog group, although I note that IPO and listing policies are presently exchange matters that investors should take into consideration before purchasing stock. The competitive nature of exchanges is not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.

A group like the SLEC should not attempt to become a powerful financial overlord, but rather to become an influential, representative group of investors and CEOs that directs policy via persuasion and not threat of action. There could be great success and influence with something like this.

Sincerely,

Xavier Mohr

For bnt financials? i agree again with Gedeon Zehetbauer, bnt core business is performing very bad, i've a small amount of shares of bnt and i've lost more then 30% in 10 days, not bad:)

Market never lie, if the stock goes down, it goes down, no excuses.

Capex should not be adopting a different standard than what SLEC adopts for the entire industry. Standardization of data across exchanges is absolutely necessary in order for investors to build confidence in the numbers all listed companies are putting out. As the SLEC has over 70 listed companies as members on multiple exchanges, and they have all agreed to use the SLEC reporting template.

SLCapEx, WSE, DSE, ISE & VSTex all use the SLEC? I don't thing the WSE does, DSE doesnt use it, SLCapEx is not using the standard form, VSTex is not using it. And ISE is the only exchange that is a member. Does this mean it is standard to use SLEC?

I was looking at there website they have and NO blog posts since AUG 7th. The last news article was on JULY 27th. SLEC has NOT posted there financial summary for over a month.
So my final question would be, is it a joke or not?

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
No! really No! If you know anything about accounting in RL, you see at once that this template is a standart profit and loss statement that every professional RL company also uses!
Of course if we talk about companies traded at the NYSE, it will be much more detailed, but the scheme is the same!

That form is definitly much better and more informative than your SLEC standart, especially because you can see a difference between operational business and non recurring positions!

For example what is
"Stock/Bond Sales/Capital Gains $4,750,000"

is that operational business??? does that include the sale of BNT shares?

"Land Sales $3,187,607" is that operational business?

maybe in the Capex template your number would not look anymore so fine, maybe thats the reason why you think that it "only confuses investors AND CEOs".

I would assume that you absorb big losses in your core business by selling shares and land!

Well the Capex' financial statement template is great work, a big step forward in building up a security exchange and I am really thankful to see it here, I hope that will be a necessarily standart for every company on Capex!

People invest because the they need a return on their money and they belive that a certain company will give them a good rate of return on their investment. that is, my friend , why people generaly invest, and if they dont see that return coming, they panic or at least complain about it again thats a fact in both RL and SL.

One more thing, if I may, you tend to compare BNT with RL companies which is, in my opinion, a good thing but lets not forget that BNT is not listed in a RL stock exchange but in a Virtual one, and that makes you responsible for responding to your "virtual" investors questions and demands in a more friendly and less hostile manner since its a new medium with new if not vague rules. I agree with you that we are all in this together, but you are the decision maker here and you have an opportuinty to mkae your investors either believe in you and in BNT or make them panic and keep on selling. Maybe you should add to the JFK paraphrase something like " when someone invests in a comany in SL they tend to support their brand when the company's managment takes their questions seriously and respond to them in a friendly manner". have a great day :)

This is where I could throw out a JFK paraphrase. When someone invests in a company in RL, its typically because they use that company's products, or admire their products or company record. They tend to start using those products to "support their brand".

Warren Buffet, for example, advises this. So, I ask you: who is buying land in BNT sims? Some are, we are selling more land every day. To up our company performance, you as a shareholder can help make that happen by buying land here for your own business or home.

We are all in this together, and we are oriented toward community building, not just cookie cutter tactics like you see on the mainland. I would expect that those who believe in this vision enough to invest in its stock, would also support that investment by investing in the land itself.

They also have to keep up tier payments on their sims of Von Mises and Ginko Financial or lose those investments entirely. I know they are looking to sell the land and builds in the sims, so interested parties should contact Nicholas Portocarrero to negotiate on a deal.

Ginko's holding of 11 million shares originally has dwindled to 8.8 million shares recently, which is the main reason the price has fallen.

Conversely, staff stock holdings tend to be closely held, reflecting high staff confidence in the company. So whose opinion do you trust? Ginko or our own staff?

<![CDATA[ Re: 911 System]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/402 Your first question is about agents , yes , you need to orginze your own security and being able to cover as many hours a day as you can , otherwise , I want to let you know that I'm working on opening a new service based on the 911 system, we can provide customers with a security service , in this case only our client will be installed in customer's sims and it will be connected to our server , so that when you call, our agents (avaible many hours a day and night), once the customer grants them necessary powers , they will be able to come in fight and ban griefers. Yes necessary powers are needed, that's why we will include in the service a banlink master , so that we can ban ppl even if we are not in the sim, anyway , once we have necessary powers we can use special weapons to push griefers out of the sim, anyway most sims supports 50+ avatars in a sim at the same time , griefing groups don't usually have that man power, no griefing group tp 50 ppl in a sim.
Yes you can test the product , please send me an inworld IM before you test it , thank you.

feel free to contact me inworld or leave a message here if you have any other question.

It was mostly about the fact that he is blowing sunshine up our butts while it is raining cats and dogs. Everybody at BNT seems to make nice profits except for the people that risked their money.

"They make this company great, and they deserve to share in the rewards of their work by earning equity in the company."

How about us who have put up our part of that equity that makes this company great, what about our share of the rewards.

There will be no dividens until .... Who knows when, so no compensation there. Maybe I could make a profit on the exchange by trading a part of my very valueble shares ....

Damned a flatliner.

Well then at least I could rest asure that my portfolio value is growing accordingly with the succsess of this great company

what the **** it dropped to 1/3 of what it is suppose to be.

Oke, Oke take a tranquiliser, calm down.

The primary goal for a company is to enrich its shareholders (owners) by paying dividends and/or causing the stock price to increase

planned actions by management and the returns to shareholders should outperform certain bench-marks such as the cost of capital concept. In essence, the idea that shareholders money should be used to earn a higher return then they could earn themselves by investing in risk free bonds for example.

If investors came in tomorrow and looked at the top Shareholders list for BNT and saw that IntLibber's shares had decreased by over 1million shares they would be asking why. Now they already know why.

For the same reason Maelstrom always sends out a notice of when he buys and sells shares of DGD, responsible CEOs find it necessary to inform shareholders when their holdings in their own company change.

If an agent TP's in and has no "powers" their use seems rather limited apart from being present and possibly documenting what exactly happened for later review by the estate owner. Or would we need to grant officer powers to the complete BnT security force?

If a group of griefers arrives and hogs the sim, blocking all new arrivals, the 911 system will take the call, but actual help will not be able to intervene.

It may seem as criticism at first, but trust me, if I wouldn't bother asking for extra information if I wasn't interested in the potential of your system. Would you mind if I actually tested the system in a BnT sim? Or is there a demo version/area available that could give potential buyers/users more insight?

Thanks in advance. Feel free to contact me in world if you feel that would be more appropriate.

<![CDATA[ Re: Commentary on the Financials?]]> http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BNT/470
The NAV is low primarily due to the depressed value of land. We valued our sims based on our land price structure at this time, not on prior auction or sale price, or some other inflated imaginary price that other listed companies may use (i.e. beware anybody valuing their land over 10L$/sm at the present time), because we felt it was important for the current NAV to reflect market conditions. Once the land market picks up, the value of those sims will rise, and NAV will rise with it.

As for the SLEC Lindsay, the only joke here is the idea you can ignore the will of over 70 listed companies. The capital markets want standards, transparency, and disclosure. Without standard means of disclosure across all markets, investors will have difficulty comparing one company against another if different markets use different accounting standards.

Wow, NAV is only L$0.29? I guess that's what happens when you have 130,000,000 shares outstanding, even if you've got so many SIMs under your belt to back it up. On the other hand, that means the stock is trading below value, so it might be a good value...provided investors would ever pay even fair value for it, which to be honest, Intlibber has given them little reason to do.

You pay out over L$2,000,000 per month in payroll and bonuses? Do you really feel this is the best use of such funds, or is having the best effect on profitability?

Overall profit seems low for such a large amount of assets. ROA is only 2.1%. Any commentary on that?

We worked hard to deliver the most accurate data possible, so that we could stand behind the numbers, not just throw stuff out there as I think some may be motivated to do given the complex forms Capex is putting out there.

We also found the Capex' financial statement template to be unworkable, complex, and overburdensome. We decided to use the official SLEC reporting template that the SLEC had adopted more than a month ago (and which Capex was entirely aware of), and which we had been working on since then.

Capex should not be adopting a different standard than what SLEC adopts for the entire industry. As the SLEC has over 70 listed companies as members on multiple exchanges, and they have all agreed to use the SLEC reporting template, Capex should be working with us all instead of creating nonstandard forms of their own that only confuse investors AND CEOs, which are not really applicable to SL business environments, and require a RL paid accountant to complete.
