| Now, I do have a question about this whole thing. Is SL demanding that all banks have a RL bank charter, or some sort of legal business entity? Both are two different things and the cost does vary GREATLY! | ||

| the private equity firm is possible, but you would still need to acquire a license from the state in which it will be established. In addition, you would need to provide necessary documents on a quarterly basis in order to keep the firm open. | ||

| How about if, for now, instead of offering dividends on stock the businesses can instead offer them in the form of more stock? I'm searching pretty much everything I can. Does SLCapex know where they would establish the firm in RL? That would be helpful, as anyone can get research on how that state regulates businesses. | ||

| Unless a good portion of Lindenites protest by not purchasing any goods/services until a "kindler" resolution is made, I don't think they will be changing their minds. And though BNT may have a license, they may need to send in the proper forms to LL. | ||

| There is one problem that I have found with the new regulation policy. How would these brokers and banks be registered? At least in the US, banks are granted charters per state. So, for example, if JP Morgan is based in New York State, they would receive their initial charter in NY. Then, if they wanted to establish a branch in CA they would have to file for one there. But banks in SL only work in SL. Would they be considered foreign banks (similar to HSBC in the States)? | ||

| Well, according to the blog, the policy does not cover security exchanges, though they will have the right to investigate such activity and involve authorities. But it appears that LL is just trying to protect themselves. To prevent them from being attacked by the authorities. And though they COULD regulate banks, they just CHOOSE not to. Also, I do believe that this goes back to a federal inquiry on whether or not the government should begin taxing individuals on their in-world profits. Now, the SLCapex could work only as a trading firm without the percentage on deposits. The only thing that is of concern is, if LL attempts to take action on securities firm, how would they be able to? The businesses on the exchange are, after all, not registered with the federal government (which could be the next step taken). |
