SLCapEx Suggestions » minimum share purchase/sell
minimum share purchase/sell
Its fun when people put up 1 share at a price in an attempt to manipulate the market. What amazes me is that people actually fall for it. All they see is shares being bought or sold at x price and fail to take into account the fact that 20000 shares where traded that day and this is one share and will not truely affect the price they pay. Despite that I see people posting a above these 1 share transactions. Maybe a minimum of 100 shares or 100L's might be prudent for trading. At least make these people who are trying to manipulate the markets risk something. I dont think this amount would inhibit sales of stocks. Another similar trick is to sell one share at below market to make your ticker turn red and then display that falling price until another transaction is made. All the while buying stock at the lower price to resell later. I'm not advocating any big changes here but I do feel a small minimum would improve the market rather than hurt it. It would also improve commissions for AVIX slightly. On that note an alternative might be to charge higher comissions on sales less than a set amount. There is plenty of money to be made here without resorting to these kinds of lame tricks that some people are pulling.

I know Im being lazy here. But it would be nice if the display for my trading history showed a breakdown of what price I paid the name of the stock and how much. As well as how much I sold it for if it is a sale. I would find it very helpfull as I am sure others would and I doubt it would require a whole lot of work.

SLCapEx Suggestions » combine like stock buy/sell orders
combine like stock buy/sell orders
It's possible for people to list 10 lots of stocks at the same price for buy sell orders. This pushes all the other bids off the board and gives an appearance that one must buy for more or sell for higher in order to obtain any stocks. I find it unlikely these orders are from seperate individuals for the same increments and price. How about combining like orders from the same individual. So people can't list 5 lots of the same stock at the same price. The only plausible reason I can see for someone doing this other than the obvious is if they are buying for multiple accounts. That being the case a solution might be to combine them on the board, but allow for separate invoicing to various sub accounts.

SL CapEx Public Forum » Liquidity and Value
Re: Liquidity and Value
After reading some of the prospectus's I have to say there are a few companies here I would never want to own. Also it is virtually impossible to calculate what these companies are actually worth. Day traders and speculators are doing that on the market. If companies want to actually be invested in, I would suggest they update earnings, assets and expenses often enough and clearly enough so that potential investers can figure out what the value of thier company is. So far as volume, just about everyone here stands to gain from higher volume sales and everyone should do thier part to promote this exchange, including but not limited to Avix itself. It seems to me this string is one of those rare circumstances where everyone is right.

Zhenya Zoning Real Estate Co. Public Forum » Recent stock dump
Recent stock dump
I have aquired 12.3 percent of ZEN and would like to notify prospective traders I have no intention of dumping these stocks any time soon. I expect to retain 10 percent of this company and will not be selling off the other 2.3 percent until the price is stable and where it should be. There are still some bargain priced shares left and if they are not aquired over the next two days I will be buying the rest. Having now a large stock in ZEN I thought it important to share my intentions with any who might wish to invest in this fine company.

pop up check window
How about a pop up window that says are you sure you want to do this. I would like to see it pop up when a person is buying shares at more than the going rate. I have twice managed to forget change the buy button to sell and bought shares for more than I wanted to. I know you have a check in place already but this would keep me from making this bone headed mistake again.

Builder and can-do scripting person wanted
I'm looking for a skilled builder and someone who is willing to make some wacked out scripts that push the scripting language to the limit. Send me a notecard in world with some point of reference to your accomplishments in this area and some indication of how much you want to be paid. Thanks

SLCapEx Suggestions » Major Holders List
Re: Major Holders List
Yeah and Enron was A-ok too Enky. When owners dump thier stock and don't declare thier move the shareholders suffer. If you own 30 percent of a company one day and 10 the next its a good indication that company is in the hole, especially when your on the board. People already trade with insider info, the least we can have is some red flags when a company is in trouble.
