Re: MNM Hype
This may be inappropriate, but I actually found this a fairly humorous post!

I have this thing in my head now with Bo, Arb, Kadena, and Cash in pin stripe suits and Fedoras with toothpicks hanging out the side of their mouths, nodding to each other.
Sky sitting in his chair shivering, anticipating what is to come! "Where are your financials!" Bo roars! Arb hits Sky up the side of his head with the last Excel Spreadsheet handout that Sky had! "Not good enough! You are mixing metaphors, otherwise known as different companies!!! Not allowed!" yells Kadena!!!

Cash shakes his head and mumbles, "but what about the shareholders? WHAT ABOUT THE SHAREHOLDERS!!!!!?"

Sorry, strange night. Weird things going on in the markets and such in RL.

General Investment Discussion » STRONGMAN SHELFORD RESIGNATION
Re: STRONGMAN SHELFORD RESIGNATION
I will throw in my two lindens worth here, as far as it will go. Even though I have strongly disagreed with some of your tactics, I don't feel it is justification to give up. We all don't see eye to eye on many things, but that shouldn't stifle free expression! I apologize once again for calling you names on another post, which has now since dissapeared for reasons unknown, but as I said in another private post to you, life is too short for bullshit! Live and let live. Let's move on.

Re: MNM Hype
I like that. It could open with some Frank Sinatra tune, like "Fly me to the Moon" or something similar!

Re: MNM IPO Close
In honor of MNM I would like to thank the Academy, Cadance Juran, Sully, Strongman, and Yanik for egging Scott on, and of course Scott who made this all possible.

I would also like to thank.....

(the orchestra strikes up "Fly Me To the Moon" while the cast of the new MNM hit show "Chairman of the Board" escorts me from the stage.......)

All seriousness aside, thanks Cadance for the prize of 5000 shares. And I really do want to thank Scott for buying the balance 3 hours before my prediciton!

Now that I am away from the 4 pin-striped folks from "Chairman of the Board", congratulations to all of the other winners as well!

General Investment Discussion » Open source grids
Re: Open source grids
William thanks for the great information. Based on what you have said I have visited both OpenLifeGrid and CentralGrid and agree that CentralGrid seems a bit more advanced.

In my opinion the only possible business opportunity is to either provide land on your own server, or buy up the land cheap on CentralGrid and wait.

I admire BCX's attempt at what they are doing but I question introducing yet another "fictional currency" in the game. I guess I don't understand how that is going to get beyond any rules that RL may yet impose on us, so I just view it as I view WSE WICS, another opportunity for commissions on exchange rates for those running the currency exchanges.

Overall I would personally choose CentralGrid as a place to start a "land baron" business, since they seem to be the most advanced of all of the Opensource grids out there, at least from what I have seen so far. But to ImA's point, I would not let people take my stuff that I built in SL into any open source grid right now which may limit growth for a while. But on the other hand it may force those of us who have been lazy since everything is already available in SL, to start producing things in opensource (like the basics, shapes, skins, eyes, clothes, etc.).

Who knows. I think it bears watching.

Re: YouTube Clone
Why don't you use MNM? That might help boost the stock price!

Just an "unbiased" thought. lol!
