JT Financials Discussion » concerning jtf
Re: concerning jtf
No offense, but it sounds like that JTF is feeding off of IPO funds. Or am I wrong? I expceted IPO funds would be kept in an Escrow account or something similar. Now I am hearing rumours that this may not necessarily be true. That there may be caps on IPOS! Some in CAPEX management are saying 100K per day! Hmmm. I don't see anything like that in the Listing terms. Was JTF capped in such a way? Will MECH be capped in such a way? How about Hornbeck, will they be capped when they go public after IPO?

Care to clarify? If I were to put up my business for an IPO of let's say 5,000,000Lindens, would I get all of my IPO money once it is fulfilled? Or would I have to accept some sort of cap on top of the 5% you would charge me? And when do you take the 5%? Right away? If you do that, do I get my funds right away?

Just curious. I am thinking of going public. I need to know these things and what better place than a public forum.

Thanks.

IPO Funds. Where do they ago
This came up in another forum, I thought I would post the question (somewhat modified) here as well. I am really curious about the mechanics of distributing IPO funds. Any one in CAPEX management that can shed any light on this would be much appreciated.

No offense, but it sounds like that JTF is feeding off of IPO funds. Or am I wrong? I expected IPO funds would be kept in an Escrow account or something similar. Now I am hearing rumours that this may not necessarily be true. That there may be caps on IPOS! Some in CAPEX management are saying 100K per day! Hmmm. I don't see anything like that in the Listing terms or did I miss something somewhere? Was the recent JTF bond thing capped in such a way? Will MECH be capped in such a way? How about Hornbeek, will they be capped when they go public after IPO? Or any other future IPOs?

Care to clarify? If I were to put up my business for an IPO of let's say 5,000,000Lindens, would I get all of my IPO money once it is fulfilled? If in the interest of fraud protection, would SLCAPEX at least distribute my IPO funds to those who I am buying SIMS from or services or whatever, if they do not wish the liability of turning all of the funds over to me right away. I would agree to that, as long as I can get my business off the ground right away. But if you were to cap my funds, and/or not distribute them where they were needed immediately, then why list? I would be better off seeking private venture capital.

Just curious. I am thinking of going public. I need to know these things and what better place than a public forum.

Thanks.

Thank you. In light of that I would vote to eliminate the interest and keep the IPO monies in escrow so that funds can be released more quickly. Just a thought.

Thanks again.

Also Xavier, a correction, I meant JTIC not JTF. Sorry for the confusion. Also I don't dispute the commission fee, CAPEX's fee is the highest of all of them, however I wouldn't expect to do an IPO for free.

Thanks.

Re: IPO Funds. Where do they ago
I have never seen any thoughts on anything in these forums acted on so fast!

Maybe I should have posted this question in the suggestions forum! lol!

I don't know whether to congratulate you or keep looking over my shoulder at irate investors ready to break my kneecaps!

HBK, since CAPEX dropped interest on the IPO, make sure you get 100% (less 5% of course for the fee) when your IPO makes it, right away, since CAPEX is now putting your funds in escrow, instead of paying interest. This is not a slam on CAPEX, just a follow through! Business is business.

Re: IPO Funds. Where do they go
One other question, does this mean that you are stopping interest payments on MECH as of today? If so will the money for MECH be avaialble on the 18th when the IPO ends?

If the money won't be available for MECH on the 18th then I hope that interest payments will continue.

Re: Problem, Arbitrage
I would suggest that you attempt to sell a few Lindens (1000 or so) via the SecondLife website. If you have no issues through that interface then you have a something to say to CAPEX.

No offense to anyone on CAPEX, especially Unoti. It wouldn't be Unoti's problem anyway, it would be CAPEX's problem, if there was a problem.

Re: IPO Funds. Where do they ago
No. MECH is attempting to fill as much as they can. As far as I know they will stay with CAPEX until the end. That is they will not bail on CAPEX (I am not an officer so please take this as a personal opinion).

The current thinking is that, since CAPEX has elected to terminate interest payments on ALL IPOs. then they elect to pay ALL IPOS the day of their matuity in full!! Not wait 10 days or whatever!

At least that is my understanding. Again to be clear, since MECH IPO is no longer receiveing interest for the last 10 days of its life, MECH will recieve all IPO funds on the 18th of October when it closes.

Am in the dark on this or is this correct? Someone from current CAPEX management needs to clarify.

Disclosure: I currently own 510K shares of MECH (may increase before you know it), so I am a VERY interested investor!
