Shipwreck Bay - Sim Grand Opening!
We are pleased to announce that Shipwreck Bay will be open for business from 12am SLT on Friday 7th December! Stay tuned for further details.

On Thursday 6th December we will open the sim to all DreamCities.net investors, directors, staff and members for a special pre-opening evening. Anduin and myself will be there from 12am to 3am SLT and would love to meet as many of you as we can. If you can't make it during this time, the sim will be open for 24 hours to you before we grant public access for you to visit and have a look around.

A message has already been sent via the DreamCities Investment Inc. group in-world. You must be a member of this group to have access. If you are an investor and need another invitation to the group, please IM Trinity Nakamori or Anduin Matova and let us know.

If there are any other interested parties who would like a special invite to the pre-opening event please IM us or leave a message here.

Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone for the help, encouragement and support in building the sim. It's looking beautiful and we've already had requests for reserves to be put on homes before they go.

Regards

Anduin Matova (CEO)
Trinity Nakamori (COO)

Firstly, our apologies for the lack of reporting here - at this time of year there are RL demands that take us away from being online as much as we'd like, but that isn't to say we're not still focussed on the sim and your investment. :)

If you've been to visit you know that things are progressing much slower than we'd hoped, even though feedback from visitors has been very positive. We've been brainstorming ways to get things to pick up - these include the setting up of an events group to get traffic and interest in the sim and re-structuring our pricing. We will also look at alternative advertising.

The events and price re-structure will be put into place this week and we will be researching other avenues for advertising and sales.

If investors have any questions and/or suggestions, please IM Trinity Nakamori in the first instance until the Christmas rush is over. We're always open to hearing your ideas. :) We'll also be holding our first shareholders meeting just after Christmas, so stay tuned for the time, date and venue.

In the meantime, we'd like to wish you all a safe and happy holidays and we look forward to the community being more active in the very near future.

regards

Re: Where are now the Dreamcities.net Headquarters?
We took the HQ down from Simbas as the surrounding area had changed drastically with encroaching buildings and unbearable lag. We've decided for the interim to have an office available in our house on the sim for Director's meetings until we get the second sim which will be used for commercial space and we will relocate the HQ there.

The HQ got so little traffic we feel this is the better option given the reasons above and we feel it's far more important to have our staff available at the sim to greet people rather than at the HQ. (the feedback from visitors/tenants about the staff has been extremely positive btw)

Most of my time logged in to SL is spent at the sim anyway and investors or interested parties can usually find us there. :)

regards

Trinity

Notes from the Director's Meeting held today
Present: Trinity Nakamori, Scott Nestler, Radioactive Rosca, Yanik Lytton.

This was a meeting to discuss the performance of the sim so far in terms of rental and traffic and to brainstorm ideas to bring revenue for investors.

There is still just 25% of the sim rented so far, however it was pointed out and acknowledged that the sim has been open less than a month over the holiday period, and there are activities in place to improve traffic, as well as different forums for advertising being taken advantage of.

The trend in rentals so far has shown that potential tenants are more attracted by the bigger, higher quality homes even though these are more expensive. We will be removing some of the cheaper houses and replacing them with these in the next few days.

Anduin has been asked to remove the no fly zone and the forced landing point, and in addition to this a teleport board will be placed on the beach for easy access to key areas.

The house with the art gallery will be relocated to a spot that is less attractive as a prime rental spot. Artists are currently being contacted to see if they would like to show items. If anyone knows of artists who would like a place to showcase their work, please pass our details on!

Planned activities for the near future include a market bazaar combined with a beach party and this could become a regular event for vendors and buyers.

The meeting ended on a positive note with thanks to the Directors for their outstanding support and encouragement.

Re: Putting my name in for COO
Just to clarify a few points of your statement, Elendreal, as they concern the work I have done - the design of the ship and community center were mine and they were constructed by you under my strict supervision and direction. You also had no input into laying out the houses, that was done by myself and Anduin.
